Birth of the kitsune

In a room covered in seals on every wall and a beautiful mural on the roof we hear what can only be described as screams of pain. Everyone in the room knew who the sound was coming from this was kushina uzumaki the second jinjuraki of the kyubi no kitsune

After two hours of constant screaming there was a new voice heard in the form of a cry. kushina had just gone threw child birth for the first time, sadly it would also be the last

"Congratulations kushina chan it's a boy" said an elderly and caring voice "what would you like to name your new baby boy" looking at her husband minato namikaze and said "we have decided we would name him Naruto"
(Kyubi attack is the same as cannon) "MENATO" shouted an elderly man as he jumped into the clearing this man was haruzin sarutobi the third hokage of konaha "haruzin minato has already passed on my sons name is naruto uzumaki look after him and DI NOT tell the council about him being the new jinjuriki I tell you k ow it will not end well" with that kushina passed on

Location: council room

The council is separated into three factions. The clan heads or better known as the shinobi council, a group of merchants and bankers known as the civilian council and finally the hokage's advisers consisting of three people all ex ninja and students of the second hokage

Currently the council room was filled with arguments and shouting civilians while the shinobi side sat in silence. After a few minutes Hiruzen walked in carrying Naruto, sitting down he spoke with the shinobi council first "Damage report" for the next twenty minutes they discussed the condition konaha is in and what it would take to rebuild. Eventually though a curious civilian couldn't hold it in anymore "Hokage sama who is the child you brought with you" "oh this little fella is called naruto, naruto Uzumaki" once his name was said most of the shinobi Council were wide eyed "as most of us new Kushina chan was was pregnant and gave birth to naruto a few minutes before the kyubi attacked although exhausted from going threw child birth, kushina was the only one with the ability to hold the kyubi back so she left her son in the care of a nurse so she could help. When I came across lord fourth and kushina she told me to find him and raise him as my own" by the end of the short story most of the civilians were crying, while the clan heads that knew kushina, knew that haruzin was lying but knew enough that if he is lying to the council it's because he has a good reason. The rest of the meeting went as expected, with Hiruzen being reinstated as hokage and them starting damage control

4 hours later
Hiruzen was sat at his desk in the hokage office. About ten minutes ago he walked in and found an empty desk with a single scroll looking it over he figured out that it was from minato, so he spent the last ten minutes sat there lamenting over whether to read it or not. Finally making up his mind he picked up the scroll and opened it

Dear Hiruzen
If you are reading this then the worst has happened and the kyubi has escaped and I'm dead I know kushina wanted you to look after naruto if we died, as my last act as hokage I nominate yugao uzuki to take up the role of anbu commander. I also have a group of anbu that were asked to raise naruto if anything was to happen. I would also ask that you bring kakashi and Yamato in to explain what is going to happen since Yamato can help naruto control the foxes chakra, I wish for naruto to stay hidden for as long as possible at the bottom of this scroll in the seal there are scrolls for all three of them outlining there respective jobs" after reading the scroll Hiruzen called for the aforementioned anbu after they arrived Hiruzen handed out the scrolls without saying a word

And so the day ended with Hiruzen taking naruto home for the night while narutos designated aria within anbu hq was arraigned

Two years later, naruto is walking and talking, by this time everyone in the anbu knew that naruto was kushina's child and all pitched in when it came to raising Naruto, out of respect for there former commander. Everyone was shocked however when on Naruto's second birthday, he don'd his mother's anbu mask for the first time, as he walked into the canteen that morning every anbu that looked at him saw a visages of his mother standing behind him, there was no doubt with his crimson red hair and his piercing assure blue eyes. Many knew he was just coping them since it's all he ever knew, but dam seeing a mini red death seemed to scare them. Having images of their old commander shouting at them for not training made some anbu get up and walk out, when asked why by their fellow anbu they all gave the same answer "I'm going to train" before they bolted out of the hall
three hours later Hiruzen came into the hq to have his usual lesson with Naruto because he was teaching him how to read and write. To his surprise naruto was sat at the side of a training ground watching as several teams went threw different formations and techniques he didn't know why they were training harder then usual but who was he to compline, he had noticed that over the last two years his anbu had started to slack off more when it came to training. Walking up behind Naruto he hadn't seen the mask Naruto was waring until Naruto looked at him, going threw the same thing as the anbu did erlyer he instantly knew what changed there work ethic "h...hello Naruto-kun are you ready for your lesson" receiving a nod they sat there practicing his hand writing and reading

By Naruto's third birthday he was learning hand-sign's and seals, six months after his third birthday Naruto stopped talking and only communicated threw hand signs. When Hiruzen asked why he signed practice but there was the occasional time he would talk normally.
