The Fabangeses were tired when they got back to Milan. They all went home and promptly went to sleep.

Laura found Marcy in the library. "Did you really mean that you wanted to go back to therapy?"

Marcy nodded slowly as she wrote in her diary.

"Why do you think we should go?"

Marcy looked up at her oldest sister with dim eyes.

Laura sagged as she sat next to Marcy on the chaise. "I suppose not everything was fun."

"Things were fun?"

"Didn't I make it fun?"

"Laura, you have five kids. Not twelve. You've got to realize that taking care of us ruined your life."

Laura gasped in outrage. "Taking care of you did not ruin my life!"

"Then why did you make tracks to Massachusetts the first chance you got?"

Laura gulped. "I wasn't running from you. I swear."

Marcy didn't believe her and her face said so.

"Things were just weird. I- I didn't want to be like Mom."

"And have you ever told her that? Told any of us that?"

"Well not that exactly."

Marcy lifted a brow.

Laura pouted. "You're my babies. My first babies. I wouldn't trade any of you for the world."

"Even Mikey?"

Laura blew out a breath. "Even Mikey."

"Even Lucy?"

"Even Lucy."

"Even me?"

"Especially you."

Marcy chewed on her lower lip.

"I love all of you. Even if you've caused me stress from time to time. I love you."

Marcy scooted over and laid her head on her big sister's shoulder.

Laura brightened and hugged her.

"You're the best mom ever."

Laura smiled. "Thank you for saying that, sweetie."

And they just sat there for as long as it was comfortable.

Lisa was truly nervous. Marcy was taking her to her first therapy appointment. She was surprised it was happening so quickly but wrote it off because she was kind of freaking out.

What was going to happen? How was she supposed to act? What if it was awful?

Marcy stopped the car and she and the two passengers got out. Diaz shielded both from anyone who got too close as they went inside.

Marcy signed Lisa in then came back to sit beside her. "Calm down before you have a stroke."

"What's a stroke?" Lisa asked.

"It's very unpleasant."

Lisa blinked, now worried about having a stroke.

Marcy took Lisa's hand between her own chubbier hands and rubbed. "Calm down."

"But I'm scared." That hurt to admit.

"Why?"

Lisa hunched her shoulders. "What if it hurts?"
