Heart break hotline

Caller 1

Boss lady: Welcome to your first day working with heart break hotline before you start. Any questions?

Yu: where am I?

Boss lady: you're at heartbreak hotline. Any other questions?

Yu: where is that? what is heartbreak hotline?

Boss lady: the name is pretty self explanatory but here let's just throw you right into it with your first call.

A chair a desk and a phone appear in the previously empty white room

Boss lady: have a seat.

Yu who is having a small panic attack trying to piece together what's happening sits obediently and the phone rings.

Boss lady: go on pick it up I'm sure it'll answer all your questions.

Yu not seeing any other option continues to listen.

Caller 1: ....

Yu: ....

Boss lady: whoops I forgot to give you this.

She lays a paper in front of you with the words "hello welcome to heart break hotline"

Boss lady: go on say it read it out loud.

Reluctantly yu obeys.

Yu: hello welcome to heartbreak hotline.

Boss lady: I love this part.

A dark red heart shape butterfly flys out of the phone and lands on the desk and a folder appears under it the folder says caller 1.

Boss lady: lucky you got a easy on I was afraid you might get a black butterfly on your first call but you should be able to handle this alone bye.

Yu: wait what?

And the boss lady vanished in a cloud of pink smoke with a noise that sounded like a kiss.

Caller 1: ...hello

The folder in front of yu opens by it self and the paper in it tell yu to say hi.

Yu: where am I?

Caller 1: uh I don't know this is heartbreak hotline right? I'm sorry is this the wrong number?

The paper now tells yu to say "how can I help you"

Yu: I'm pretty sure this is heartbreak hotline.

Caller 1: pretty sure?

The butterfly fly which has been sitting on the folder till now flys up to yu's face. yu stares at it as it land on the paper and starts jumping up and down trying to get yu to read the paper which now tells yu to say "yes this is heart break hotline".

Yu: yes this is heartbreak hotline.

Caller 1: oh ok I thought I messed something else up.

The paper now tells yu to say "no your fine".

Yu: something else?

The paper noticing that no matter what it says yu isn't gonna listen just shows a annoyed emoji.

Caller 1: uh yeah I messed up a lot with girlfriend well with my ex.

Yu not knowing how to respond looks down at the paper which is now showing a shrug and a sleeping emoji.

Yu: why do you think you messed up a lot?

Caller 1: I don't think I messed up I know messed up I didn't give our relationship everything I could. She was always there for me and I forgot I had to be there for her to.

Yu not knowing how to respond to someone crying on the phone with them looks down at the paper begging for it's help. The paper then shows a sigh emoji and tells yu to say "I'm sure you did the best you could. Some people just don't know how to express emotion".

Yu: I'm sure you tried your best some people just don't know how to show love.

Caller 1: I never did get to tell her I love her.

The caller is now crying harder. The paper now says "I said express emotion not show love you don't listen".

Yu: I said express emotion not show love you don't listen.

Caller 1: huh?

The paper now says "of course that's the one thing you read exactly".

Yu: uh sorry never mind why did she break up with you? What brought the end of the relationship?

Caller 1: I... broke up with her.

Yu making a shocked face looks at the paper also making a shocked face

Yu: then why are you calling heartbreak hotline? Just get back together with her.

Caller 1: but my heart is broken I didn't want to break up with her.

Yu: then why did you?

Caller 1: because she can get someone better who will treat her better.

Yu: why don't you just treat her better?

Caller 1: because I can't treat her how she deserves to be treated someone else can.

Yu: but she doesn't want someone else to treat her better she wants you.

Caller 1: no she doesn't.

Yu: how do you know that?

Caller 1: because I didn't treat good enough and she found someone who did.

Yu looks down at the paper and could tell they were both thinking the same thing.

Yu: hey did she cheat on you?

Caller 1: she didn't cheat I couldn't give her what she deserved so she found it.

Yu: she cheated.

Caller 1: no she didn't she loved me she said it.

Yu: then how do you know you weren't enough?

Caller 1: because I saw in her phone that she texted other guys that she loved them.

Yu: I'm pretty sure she's cheated on you.

Caller 1: NO I.. I don't care even if she did. it was because I wasn't enough.

yu then notices that this whole time butterfly on the desk wings are getting dark turning from dark red to full on black the paper on the desk tells yu to say "you were enough she couldn't see that".

Yu: SHE WASN'T ENOUGH FOR YOU don't let people walk all over you.

Caller 1: but I want her back I just want her to love only me again or I want to go back to thinking that she loved only me.

Yu: are you going to forgive her?

Caller 1: no I don't think I can that's why I called heart break hotline I heard you can do anything to fix a broken heart.

Yu: how do you want us to fix it.

Caller 1: I want to never find out that she cheated on me that's my wish.

A button appears in front of yu that say fix a broken heart the paper now shows a sad face saying press it.

Yu: but that won't fix anything you'll just be with someone that doesn't really love you.

Caller 1: that's what I want to do.

Yu is on the verge of tears.

Yu: why would you do that to yourself?

Caller 1: because I love her.

Yu is crying then looks down at the paper it's says you don't have to do it just listen to me I'll do it I know it hurts now do exact what I tell you. say

Yu: thank you for calling heartbreak hotline where we fix all broken hearts.

The paper says "now press the button" and with tears in yu's eyes and a fake customer service smile yu presses the button. The black butterfly turns a nice hot pink the call ends and in the silence of the ended call.

Yu looks down at the paper and all it says is you've fixed your first broken heart.
