Chapter one

Kyle Anderson is sitting at a table near the middle of the mess hall eating a tasteless block of hydroponically sourced nutrients that he and his fellow soldiers call C.C.C or compacted cow crap, while making small talk with passers by when an announcement comes over the loudspeaker "Charlie group a3 report to the briefing room immediately" Kyle is slightly bemused by the crisp command "that's it?" He exclaims to nobody in particular but gets up and shoulders his mess bag anyways. As Kyle walks down the white tiled halls he can't help but think about what it is that there being called on maybe just recon or forward security but perhaps there being called in for a full blown assault on a Colthei base. Kyle and the rest of Charlie group a3 barely fit in the briefing room which is normally for small recon teams not large twenty four man squads, at last they all squeeze in forming a sort of huddle around the main desk.
The man sitting at the desk is old but by no means frail there is barely a wrinkle on his face and he holds his head high unlike many younger men who spend there day at a desk. Kyle starts first his curiosity getting the better of him and asks "so sir if you don't mind me asking, why are we here and what are we going to be asked to do" " you are here today to be briefed on a black operation so what goes on in this room stays in this room got it" the man replies "yes sir! We got it sir!" Sai's Alfred the captain and heavy weapons op of Charlie group a3.
"So here is how the war is going at the moment, the Colthei have control of pretty much all of our the home system they have permanent combat installations on Mars and Venus and stations orbiting basically every planet exept earth though as things are looking at the moment that may not last thar long" he pauses for a moment to catch his breath then continue's "but we do have one last card up our sleeve that may be a game changer" "our,scanners have picked up an enormous energy output from there installation on Mars we believe that this is were Codex holds its main Colthei cloning facilities and if we can take it out that would put us at a huge advantage, we already have a demolition crew and main assault team lined up but to enter with minimal casualty's they need a distraction, now can any of you guess what you'll be doing.
