Stuck In Between (Haikyuu x Reader) -On Hold-

Chapter 1: The Meeting

Start of classes and I'm just starting of high school. Karasuno, here I come.

Asahi woke me up early and he packed up his usual things, yet I see him leaving all his volleyball stuff behind.

"Pack up, You don’t want to be late or miss the program."
I sighed and looked at him.
"look, I don’t really care about it, though I have to go, I packed up last night."
I sat Infront of Asahi.
"you're really not going to play volleyball anymore?.."
I ask hoping he'd say no.
"You saw what happened, we lost because I couldn’t score a single point, I kept on getting blocked, I don’t want that to happen again" He carried his bag and set it aside.

"Onii-san.. you can't be serious, Right?" I looked at him with teary eyes. He went silent.

"I'm sorry Miya.." He hugged me close and tightly.
"you promised me.. You promised me you'd play.." he hit my soft spot and I couldn’t handle but to tear up and hug him back.

I have a soft spot for my brother, I'm normally  that type of person who doesn't talk to anyone and likes to be alone and the one that might fight off other guys, or maybe be scary, yet seeing him like this makes me soft..

"Miya, you have to play for me, ok? Don’t give up." He hugged me then went downstairs to pack our lunches. "grab my bag and put them in the car for me." He shouted from the down stairs.

I did what he said and put our stuff in the car. I sat there and waited for him. I tied my hair into a bun and put my headset on. I really hoped my brother would play volleyball again. I'm not sure what happened that day but Asahi came home almost pissed but was crying.. I tried to comfort him that night, and well, I know how he felt, just by watching their game back then, I was not feeling so good for them.

~Flashback~

Onii-san keeps on getting blocked.. They have to make up a plan before it's all over.

Boom! Another spike from Asahi, UGHH!! It's been blocked again, and again and again! I hate this!, I wish I could just go down and push those blockers away!

The game went on, I couldn’t even watch, I just sat down and tried to be calm. All I heard was the ball bouncing off the blocks and his spikes. I fist my hand and hoped they would win. After all, no one joins to lose. They all want to win.

The Game ended 2-0, I ran down to the courts and hugged Asahi tightly.. I don’t want him to be like this.. I don’t want to see him like this, it's all wrong.. The 1st time I saw doubt in his eyes.. was just now.. We packed up and went back to Karasuno,

"Onii-san.." I looked at him.
"what is it Miya? Is something wrong?" He came closer to me worried.
"tsk- I'm going home" I lost my cool and walked away.
"Miya!" Suga held my hand and I slapped his away.

I ran home, lost in my thoughts. I didn’t know what to say to him, I don’t know what was I supposed to do after seeing him give up like that.

~End Of Flashback~

"you ready to go?" He asked and so I nod.

The program went smooth and everyone scattered throughout the campus.

I walked towards Suga and Daichi who were just getting some papers from Kiyoko, "only two?" Daichi asks Kiyoko in disappointment. She nodded and walked away.

"HEYHEYHEYYY!!" Suga waved happily at me.
"Whats up lil' Asahi, by the way, where is he?" Daichi asked and I just shrugged.

"hm" He held his chin.
"he'll come by, I hope" quietly I mumbled and walked away. "see ya around" I waved bye at them.
