Earth was a tiresome place, full of sunless streets, noisy people, musty air, and bustling crowds. Bellcrest was a place for the magickal folk (faires, wizards, witches, and such) of Earth to reside, away from the gloom. In it, cars trickled down the twisty lanes, vibrant flowers filled each and every available crevice, doughy clouds wandered the never-ending azure sky, and townsfolk strolled around in their fanciful and intricately designed clothes, greeting each other with a few hellos.

All of the people lived in their very own house, catered to their very own styles. Strips of grass lay, sprinkled with colourful flowers and various bugs making their way through thin grass strands, flying between petals, and crawling among the tall stalks of flowers. On one of the many winding streets, two children walked beside each other, seemingly arguing about something.

"Ugh, why are you so annoying? It doesn't even matter!" Laurence said at his cousin through gritted teeth. "Um, yes, it does! That test was 50% of our grade!" Olivia said, her voice growing as she got more frustrated. She adjusted her books that she held on her hip. "Whatever," She muttered, resisting the urge to roll her eyes, "It's not like it'd matter anyways." Laurence looked at her, squinting his eyes, "What's that supposed to mean?" Olivia stopped walking, trying to make up an excuse (she failed) "Nothing! It's just, nevermind." Laurence glared at her, tripping over a stray root, his wand clattering to the pavement. Olivia burst out laughing, amused at her cousin's inability to be anything but stupid.
