A Dangerous Method

Michael's plan is to get his brother out of jail and prove his innocence. In order for Michael to do this is to get into jail himself but to save his brother he had to leave someone behind and that someone was Elizabeth his fiance.

Chapter One: The Prologue

Flashback: Michael's POV

My heart was beating hard and fast it was the hardest decision I could ever think of I thought about every moment we shared together we were so happy, until that moment when my brother was framed for the murder of the vice president's brother. I stood up and paced back and forth wondering how I would go through with this, how I would tell her it was over when I heard the front door open I took a deep breath.

"Michael!" I heard her "Babe." I could hear the bags she was placing on the counter I walk out of the bathroom and walk down the hallway towards the kitchen and lean against the doorframe watching her put stuff away staring at the ring on hand when she closed the cabinet door and turned and saw me she jumped a bit and placed her hand over her heart.

"Babe, my God, you scared me." I stood there staring at her "Well, I hope you're hungry I'm going to make us some lunch." she walked over to him and wrapped her arms around my neck "Are you alright?" she placed her hands on both sides of my head making him look into her dark brown eyes. I sighed and grabbed her hands and holds them for a few seconds.

 

"Ellie, we need to talk." when I said this I could see a worry expression on her face she takes a seat at the counter and I stand in front of her.

"I--I think we need to take a break." I said seriously to her I saw a few tears start to form "It's not working out between us. I'm sorry." I went to reach for her hand when she jumped off her seat and placed her hand over her mouth and turned away from me, I could hear her soft cries muffled by her hand I felt like crying too my heart was aching  and I always hated seeing her cry. I stood up and walked over to her and reached out to grab her arm as soon as the fingertips touch her arm she looked at me and backed away before rushing past me to the bedroom I turned and followed behind.

"Ellie!" she turned to me her eyes red from crying her arms wrapped around herself my eyes were beginning to water.

 

"What did I do?" she cried out "Michael, I--I love you! I know you love me too. You're just going to throw everything including our marriage away." she fell to her knees and placed her head in her hands. "What did I do?" she cried "I want you out! GET OUT!I DON'T EVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN!" she stood up and pushed me back hard "GET OUT AND NEVER COME BACK!" she walked away from and walked towards the bathroom slamming the door shut. My heart was broken from the moment she started crying I grabbed my bag and walked towards the bathroom door saw what looked like a shadow underneath the door since she was leaning against it I could hear her sniffling and trying to hold back a few sobs I whispered into the door hoping she would hear me.

 

"I hope that one day you will understand why I am doing this and that you will forgive me for the pain I am causing you." I walked away from the bathroom and towards the front door and walked out towards the lobby and then to my car and took one last glance at the building then drove home and began my plan to save my brother and prove that he is truly innocent.
