Suddenly, Jiaqi was within the embrace of her. She tightened the hug and placed a long peck against her forehead, 'Jiaqi return back to your normal self. Once you do we'll go home and you can have a feast of blood.' Yuyan's calm and soothing voice echoed in Jiaqi's mind as the latter started breathing heavily.
Xueer who was still confused down to her bone looked at the two. She didn't know what was happening except her jaw clenching at the sight in front of her. Since when did Yuyan even get here? Xueer thought as she stared at the two helplessly.
Jiaqi thought she did pounce on her but it was just her hallucinating, in fact she was leaning in at an extremely slow speed, therefore letting Yuyan have time to intercept before something bad happened. Vampires hallucinate when they starve of blood. Running her hands up and down her back, Yuyan then slowly lean in, allowing Jiaqi to suck some blood of hers first so she could at least have the energy to walk back.
However to Xueer, it just looked as if they were kissing. Being puzzled as hell, Xueer stepped back and finally found her voice which was incredibly monotonous, "I'll go first."
"See you tomorrow, Xueer." Jiaqi managed to let out an audible breath, surprising Yuyan that she even bothered to bid Xueer goodbye in a state like this. The campus beauty nodded her head as her brain was still trying to process what had just happened, "See you tomorrow, Jiaqi."
First Jiaqi asked her to go closer and started leaning in, then Yuyan appeared out of nowhere and interrupted them by hugging Jiaqi and kissing her. It didn't make any sense at all to Xueer, to the point where she thinks Jiaqi's weirdness has been transferred to the situation she was in if that was even possible.
Once the redheaded left, Yuyan sighed and let go of Jiaqi, "Let's go back home first. You're going to get a scolding from me." Jiaqi obediently followed her friend whose facial expression was not all that soft. Right now Yuyan wasn't her friend, she was her royal guard.
Reaching back home, Jiaqi instantly gulped down bags after bags of blood while Yuyan silently observed with dark hazy eyes. "What did I say about skipping blood meals?" Wiping her lips, Jiaqi avoided the latter's eyes, "Never skip blood meals no matter how busy you are." Yuyan then signaled her to continue with a stoic expression.
"Occasions like this happen unexpectedly as there are no symptoms so I should never skip. Or else there will be trouble." Jiaqi finished off with her voice growing quieter. Yuyan hummed and approached the latter slowly, "And what did you do again?"
Shifting her gaze down onto the cold hard floor, Jiaqi cowardly answered, "I didn't listen to you and skipped my blood meals." Yuyan sighed as she lifted Jiaqi's chin so their gazes would meet, "You do know I'm supposed to report this to your parents right?"
She nodded her head and leaned away from the intimidating royal guard, "Yes...but you wouldn't do that right? Not when you know what are the consequences I have to face?" Yuyan remained silent and released a breath, "You know me too well..." The green haired girl couldn't bear seeing Jiaqi suffering from her parents' wrath.
"However I know you too well too Jiaqi. What's with you and Xueer?" Yuyan curiously stared at the fidgeting girl in which she replied with a smile across her face, "We're friends." The serious mood immediately vanished when the topic shifted to Jiaqi and Xueer.
"Yea sure." Yuyan thought that both were stupid although she knew why Jiaqi was suppressing the rising feelings for the human. "A vampire and human huh? That would go down in history." Jiaqi blushed ever so slightly as Yuyan stared into space dreamily.
"If I was a normal vampire maybe I would have a slight chance but I'm not...so that will never happen." Jiaqi sighed in despair as she gazed out of her room's windows. Yuyan pitied Jiaqi, having such merciless parents and being the last descendant of the royal bloodline, Jiaqi was built with the toughest times.
Her parents hated her because she wasn't a boy and each bloodline can only have one child. Jiaqi was mentally abused at such a young age. She doesn't get hurt by any words anymore, not even the harshest ones. Yuyan and Jiaqi were childhood friends, they grew up together through thick and thin. Yuyan wasn't well off either, her parents divorced when she was 3 and she ended up staying with her mother who got killed during because her identity was exposed.
Jiaqi met Yuyan at the playground when it was raining. Both escaped from home and like how two lost souls meet, they did. Jiaqi led Yuyan back to her home and begged her parents to let Yuyan stay even though the king and queen were already ready to lock Jiaqi in her room for days. In the end, the two agreed to let Yuyan stay as they found out her mother used to work for them.
That was how their unbreakable friendship was formed-- through the hardest times.
A/n*:
This chapter is showing more Jiaqi's background so y'all can understand her better hehe. Next chapter would probably be focused on Xueer's background story before another bxqy chapter is released. Also was it expected that I would do a double update? Haha, I hope not.
I wanted to post the previous chapter on Jiaqi's birthday but I was just so fricking busy. Argh. At least I wished her on other platforms whew
