I have a boyfriend.

His name is Ian.

His father is an Filipino.

His mother is an American just like me.

One day he proposed to me,

I said yes,

That was the most happiest day of my life.

We were happy until we got married.

We have two kids,

The eldest is a girl named Zae,

And the second one is a boy named Van.

One night when me and my Husband, Ian, talking, he gave something to me.

A pencil.

He said that the one who gave that to him is his father.

He said that the Filipino word of Pencil is LAPIS.

He said that his father gave the LAPIS to him when he's still seven years old.

He said that his father gave that LAPIS to him because his father wants him to write his own story, his own destiny.

And the day after his father gave him that LAPIS, he left.

And after that day he never saw his father again.

And now my husband is giving this to me.

He wants me to help and guide our children make and write their own story.

The pencil looks old.

It looks like the oldest pencil exist.

I accepted the pencil,

As I promise to do my best to guide our children as they grow up.

I woke up.

And I remembered what happened that night,

What my husband said and made me promise.

It was decade ago.

And now our children has their own family.

Our children are now parents of their own kids.

í díd ít mч lσvє, σur chíldrєn αrє hαppч. thєч crєαtєd thєír σwn ѕtσrч. αnd ít wαѕ αn hαppч єndíng.

I stood up, as I gets the box where I placed the pencil that my husband gave me.

He gave me this LAPIS to guide me.

Because the day after our last conversation,

He died.

He died with an unknown reason,

He just died.

I can still remember what he said.

"mч fαthєr gαvє thíѕ tσ mє tσ guídє mє. hє wαntѕ mє tσ wrítє mч σwn ѕtσrч. hє wíll αlwαчѕ ѕtαч вч mч ѕídє nσ mαttєr whαt, єvєn í cαn't ѕєє hím, hє wíll αlwαчѕ вє wíth mє."
