Chapter 23

LISA'S POV

"Where is she.." i pout while pressing my cheek against my fist , heaving a sigh while my gaze fixed on my phone.

I've sent a bunch of messages to jennie , but i receive nothing from her.as far as i know , jennie didn't have any class today so she's suppose to be at home.

"Is she asleep?" I mumble

A few days , and weeks of haven't got to spend my time with jennie.i felt disappointed when she didn't come to see me at all , totally clueless of what's the reason since she's usually would come and drag me with her to have a lunch together

And not being that dense , i do realize about the unusual treatment that jennie gave me lately.she've been trying to distance herself from me , wasn't replying to any of my messages , and barely come to see me here.

Everynight when i got home , she would already fast asleep that all i can do is watching her , admiring her beauty and telling her how much i've been missing her

But the silent treatment i've received from jennie lately slowly killing me.i've been thinking a lot about what i had done recently that made me to received that kind of treatment from her , but no matter how hard i tried to think , i'll never get the answer

"Is it because i barely got home?" I muttered , tilting my head slightly to the side while twirling with my pen."but it's not like she care even if i was at home" i added with a sigh while leaning my back against the chair

"Woman is so complicated sometimes.."

My thought instantly got stopped right after i heard a sound of a light knock on the door.for a few seconds , a smile was about to appear on my lips when jennie is the first person that flash in my mind , but realizing that she would usually just barge in instead of knocking , my smile slowly fade away

"Come in"

The door slowly opened , revealing mina holding the same brown bag lunch that she've been giving me everyday with a bright smile on her face that i can't help but to smile as well.she make her way to me and placed it on my desk , before she slumped herself down on the chair acrossed me

"Did i bother you miss monaban?"

I laugh lightly at the sudden honorific.i rolled my eyes and scoffed

"Yes you are" i teased , earning a giggles from her.she slide her chair closer to my desk and slide all of my files and paperworks to the side , placing her arms folded on the desk as her smile grew wider , looking at me with the same expression on her face as if waiting for me to say something

"What?" I ask with a chuckle , but slightly confused when her smile was suddenly replaced with a frown

"Is it your birthday today?" I asked again , but earning a scoff instead

"We will go out later right?or did you forget about it?" A disappoinment look was visible on her face as her lips slightly pout.hearing that , my eyes immediately flickered to the time , but only to lightly gasp as i totally forgot about it

I turn back my gaze to mina , who's already staring at me with a knowing look.i cleared my throat and let out a sheepish smile

"Should we go now?" I ask as i slowly stood up from my chair.she shook her head with a sigh , but crack into a smile a few seconds after

"We should" she chuckle

After an hour of debating with herself whether to go to lisa's workplace or not , she's finally make up her mind and now is standing right in front of the building
