"We basically do the work normal police can't handle. At least, I used to. Although I'm still working at the Headquarters, I feel like something is missing." Jungkook spoke.
"Do you think it may be connected with the fact that you don't do missions anymore?"
"Most likely. My life was used to be filled with adrenaline, rush, excitement... Now it's just...bland. Like pizza without cheese." Jungkook cringed at his reference.
"Do you feel any kind of dislike for your family because of this?"
"Oh, no. Absolutely not. I adore my family. My son is the best thing that has ever happened to me. But it's about my self satisfaction."
"Can you explain from the very beginning?"
Jungkook started with a sigh, "It all started five years ago. Jungmin was born and everything seemed so perfect. Chloe wouldn't let me do missions because she, as expressed, 'was concerned for me'. My whole life was my job and ending everything so abruptly was hard. So two years later we started to fight. Not constantly, but there were many small conflicts here and there. I drank for a while. She seemed to dislike it. I just-" He sighed, rubbing his eyes, "I don't know what to do."
"I think I understand what you may need."
Jungkook bolted up, "You do?"
"Yeah, your work was the most important thing to you. You did not get disappointed, sad nor angry when Chloe asked you to stop. But you wanted to, right?"
"Yeah. Probably, deep down."
"So you're releasing your negative emotions to other aspects to get rid of everything you felt back then. You need to go back in business. Otherwise this state may eat you up and lead to fatal changes. I know your wife was concerned that something may happen to you, but your son is grown enough now and you are the best at your field, as far as I'm aware."
The man nodded, "You're probably right."
"But don't forget to confront your wife about it." Jungkook gave a small smile, "I will. Thank you, Doctor. See you next week."
