Dahlia, Darren, Hope... the Sterling trio they used to call themselves. Each one had a mind of their own, so different that nobody would ever think they would end up together in any plausible universe.

Dahlia the bold bombshell who liked to sport an attitude, nobody dared crossing her, she always had guys fawning over her but contrary to popular belief was a genius in math. She was always the picture of perfection with the voice of an angel, sleek hair not a single strand out of place, clothes that fit her body like gloves and curves that were sinful. She was a rising Youtube star with two hundred thousand subscribers.

Darren was breathtakingly gorgeous with beautiful light brown hair every girl dreams of running her fingers through. He was the golden boy with the kindest soul, treated everyone with compassion and never failed to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, to say he had quite a fan following would be an understatement. While dahlia intimidated people, Darren won them over with kindness. What else? he was a great dancer and an amazing cook who would often treat his best friends with Master-chef worthy food.

Then there was Hope, the shy one who had a hard time talking to guys unless it was for a debate where she would point by point destroy their self confidence, an aspiring astrophysicist with straight A's, she was a hopeless romantic who believed in soulmates and was waiting for her very own Jane Austen romance. But that was difficult, when everyone around her seemed to be blossoming as puberty hit, getting curves in all the right places, she just grew 4 inches in height and that was pretty much puberty for her. She had a low self esteem and tons of body image issues. She was beautiful in her own way though but sort of rough around the edges. It was difficult to hang out with literally the most beautiful people in school and not feel insecure. It was as if people didn't even see her when the other two were around, she always felt like an impostor borrowing fame and relevance from her two best friends.
But when they were together nothing else mattered, they felt as if they could conquer the world.
