This entire chapter is from the POV of Darjeeling and Pekoe

Darjeeling was awoken in the middle of a storm. Lighting lit the sky as large waves swayed the St. Gloriana Carrier. She sat under the covers of the top bunk of the bunk bed, listening to Orange Pekoe snore on the bottom bunk. She rubbed her eyes and looked at her phone screen. 4:00. That was early enough for her. She got up, heading to her apartment's kitchen and making some toast. Darjeeling spread butter across the toasted bread, grabbing a banana and some water. She sat at the table and eat, taking her sweet time.

Darjeeling took a quick shower, getting changed into her uniform. She gathered her school supplies and took out her laptop, setting it down and opening it. She received an email from the Ooarai Girl's Academy Sensha-do Team asking for an exhibition match. Tomorrow morning. On land. She sighed, responding to the email saying that she'd take it up with the Head of St. Gloriana. She finished up some school work, the clock on her laptop illuminating 5:52. Orange Pekoe started waking up, climbing out of bed and making herself some breakfast. Pekoe followed basically the same general morning routine as Darjeeling. Pekoe sat down next to Darjeeling, staring out the window at the sun rising and the storm subsiding.

A few hours had past since the morning, and at this point Darjeeling and Pekoe were in school. It was lunch time as Darjeeling walked down the hallway and towards the Principal's office. She knocked on the door, the Principal opened the door and gestured for Darjeeling to come in. Darjeeling bows.

"Darjeeling, can I help you?" The Principal, a stern but kind women, said

"Yes, Professor Ito. Ooarai Girl's Academy's Sensha-do Team requested an exhibition match at their home port of Ooarai during tomorrow's morning. I recommend we attend."

The Principal nods and calls the bridge of the School Carrier, requesting they head to Oorai port. Darjeeling walks out and proceeds with her day.

It was about 18:00 when Darjeeling and Orange Pekoe returned from Sensha-Do practice. Darjeeling clumsily made herself and Pekoe some Instant Noodles. They both sat down.

"So, Pekoe, I applied to some English universities." Darjeeling smiled as she said that.

"Thats great, Darj. Any in particular?"

"The big ones. Oxford, Cambridge, University of London, University of Manchester, and some others." Darjeeling remarked. She grinned widely as she said those names.

Pekoe nodded, smiling for her friend. They at their noodles quietly.

"We're holding an exhibition match with Ooarai Girl's tomorrow, thats why the ship started to turn at about 13:00." Darjeeling mentioned. Pekoe nodded. Neither knew it would be Darjeeling's last.

After dinner, Darjeeling stared at the Union Jack on the wall next to her bunk bed that she shared with Orange Pekoe. She began reciting "The British Grenadiers" and "God Save the Queen." Pekoe had started to get sick of it after the first month of living with Darjeeling, but she tolerated it. Darjeeling meant a lot to Pekoe. Pekoe went over to the kitchen counter and started making some tea for herself and Darjeeling.

"Darj, I made some tea!" Pekoe proclaimed

"Alright, one moment." She replied. Darjeeling sat at the table, doing some homework. Pekoe poured some tea from the kettle into two tea cups. Putting the cups onto two saucers, she brought them over to Darjeeling.

"Thanks." Darjeeling said.

Pekoe sat down and started doing some homework. They both sipped their tea, basically in unison.

"Darj, what were the consequences of the American Revolution?"

"Pekoe, what do you think?" Darjeeling laughed

"...The foundation of America?" Pekoe said.

Darjeeling smiled and nodded. "What else?" She asked.

"The French Revolution because the French helped the US, and to make up for the money lost increased taxes on the 3rd Class. Which caused a revolt and the execution of the king."

Darj nodded. "That's right." She sipped her tea. Pekoe typed her answer onto her computer. They watched the sunset from the table, the orange sun slipping under the blue sea and pink sky.
