Dante and the others kept their guard up as they crossed the bridge and into Kaon.

Just then, the Key started glowing brighter.

"We must be close," Jack noted as the four of them walked underneath a massive archway supporting a huge statue of Megatron.

Big ego, much? Dante thought.

Dante gazed around at his surroundings. As they neared the center of the courtyard, Dante picked up vibrations coming from underneath them, and then the ground started rumbling.

Glancing down as the Key's glow intensified, Dante watched as multiple cracks broke the ground and pillars started collapsing around them.

With a loud screech of metal, a massive door with the same engravings as the Key rose into the air.

Exchanging looks, the four of them walked closer, and the doorway lit up in response to the Key's presence before opening and revealing a long corridor.

"Vector Sigma's down here?" Jack asked, gesturing toward the massive corridor.

"Kaon didn't always belong to the Decepticons," Elita explained. "Megatron took it as a capital. Apparently without ever realizing what laid beneath their feet."

"Talk about irony," Dante muttered. Suddenly, his sensors flared, picking up another Energon reading aside from theirs. Dante fell into a fighting stance, eyes scanning the area around them.

"What is it?" Elita asked.

"We're not alone."

A piece of rubble fell from above, and they looked up just in time to see an Insecticon leaping toward them.

Elita grabbed Jack and jumped away while Dante and Arcee backflipped, dodging the Insecticon as it slammed into the ground where they had been moments before.

"What is that thing?!" Jack shouted as Elita set him down while Arcee and Dante drew their weapons.

"An Insecticon," Dante replied, drawing his hunting knife. "Go ahead. Arcee, Elita, and I will hold it off."

"Seriously?!" Jack responded.

"We'll be fine!" Elita yelled, opening fire on the Insecticon as it charged them. "Go!"

Jack hesitated but gave in and retreated into the depths of the doorway as it closed, sealing him away from the battle.

Dante smirked, sheathing his hunting knife, and formed his blades. "Come on, Con," he jeered. "Let's dance!" He charged as Arcee and Elita opened fire on the Insecticon, but their blasts did nothing to it.

Arcee charged and swung at it with her arm blades, but her attacks did nothing. Elita tried attacking from a distance with her blasters, but only resulted in annoying the Con as it swung at Arcee, knocking her down.

Before it could attack her, Dante charged in and intercepted the attack, exoskeleton forming a triangular shield on one arm as he deflected the blow.

Forming a bladed staff in one hand, Dante jumped at the Con and hit it in the chest, knocking it backward. The Insecticon swiped at him, but he jumped it and stabbed the staff in its arm before using it to pole-vault over and up, kicking the Insecticon in the head.
