As I looked around the room, I spotted a boy with bright red hair staring intensely across the room. I followed his line of vision to see who he was looking at and saw another boy with blue hair and almost identical facial features staring right back with the same amount of intensity.

"What's the deal with those two?"

"Oh, the twins. They've been told to stay at least 20 meters apart at all times, but I doubt it'll last."

"Do they hate each other or something? They look like they're about to rip the other's head off."

"Nah, It's just a little show they like to put on when they're about to get into trouble."

"Alright, what's their power?"

"I have a feeling you're about to find out."

Jasper gestured towards the boys as both of them jumped up from their seats and bolted towards each other. Students jumped into the line of fire to try and keep them apart, but the twins just shoved anyone and everyone out of the way.

"You may want to duck soon."

As the twins leapt towards each other, a small spark appeared between them and an explosion blasted outward in all direction when their bodies made contact. The blue haired one smashed through the window on the opposite side of the room and rolled halfway across the oval outside. The red head came flying towards us and smashed into the brick wall, right behind us. I looked up and saw a small crater in the centre of the room and scorch marks on the ground. People and chairs were pushed to the outside of the room and students groaned as they climbed to their feet. I looked back at the red haired boy to see if he was alright, but he was laughing. He was hysterically laughing.

"I think I found our newest recruits."

One of the principals henchman showed up from behind us and pushed me and Jasper aside. He grabbed the red head by the collar of the shirt and lifted him off the ground. The large man carried the hysterical boy towards the detention room. Another one of the henchmen followed them, carrying the blue haired twin, who was also laughing his head off. "Right, I'm gonna go talk to them. Garth, protect Jasper."

"Yes, sir."

The detention room was a large-ish room with all walls and floor made from solid concrete. The twins were handcuffed to the walls with their feet dangling a few inches above the ground. There was a vault-like door on the opposite side to the twins, the kind of door you'd find in a bank. The twins were desperately trying to reach other, but with 5 meters between them, they weren't having much luck. I opened one of my portals and stepped into the room. They stopped trying to reach each other and moved their attention towards me. The twins took turns speaking and talked with an Irish accent in their voice.

"Did you just break into detention?" Asked the blue one with a rude tone.

"I wanted to talk to you two."

"Yeah, but you broke into detention?"

"Well, yeah."

"Dude, you are one weird kid."

"Mate, there are easier ways to get in here." The red one added.

"What? Like blowing up the canteen?"

"Yeah that was fun."

"So, do you have names?"

"Yeah, I'm Alex and this is Fletcher." The red one said gesturing towards his brother.

"Now, do you two have to touch to activate your powers?"

"Oh no, that's just something that happens when we touch. Not too sure why." Alex said in a puzzled tone.
