You were sent by your father to defeat Surtur, an immense and malevolent elemental fire demon, just by yourself. It was your first immense and malevolent elemental fire demon but your father believed in you. He always does.
You, on the other hand, feel the enormous pressure of being the son of two of the most powerful beings that exists.
When your dad wasn't looking, you took the Mjölnir with you. Yes, you are worthy. He's probably not very happy but he's not in the same Realm right now so that's the problem of the Y/N of the future.
You don't know well how you ended up here, in a cage of a cavern you were trapped in. Chained and with the only company of a skeleton, you are currently thinking how can you escape.
"How much longer do you think we'll be here?" You ask to your new friend.
Just when you finish the sentence, the door of the cage opens and you fall almost hitting the floor.
"Y/N, son of Thor" Surtur says.
"Surtur, son of a bitch. You're still alive. I thought my grandfather killed you half a million years ago." You say to Surtur.
"I cannot die. Not until I fulfill my destiny and lay waste to your home." Surtur replies.
"Earth?" You ask.
"What?" Surtur says puzzled.
"I was born in Midgard, I thought you meant that" You reply.
"Asgard, I mean Asgard" He says annoyed.
"Oh now that you say it, I've been having these visions of Asgard up in flames and falling to ruins. And you, Surtur, at the center of all of them" You say to Surtur.
"Then you have seen Ragnarok, the fall of Asgard. My time has come. When my crown is reunited with the Eternal Flame I shall be restored to my full might. I will tower over the mountains and bury my sword deep in Asgard's... " He says incessantly.
"Right, so let me get this straight. You're going to put your crown into the Eternal Flame and then you suddenly grow as big as a house?" You tell him.
"A MOUNTAIN!" He replies angry.
"The eternal flames that Odin keeps locked away on Asgard?" You ask.
"Odin is not on Asgard. And you and your father's absences has left the throne defenseless" Surtur explains.
"So it sounds like all I have to do to stop Ragnarok is rip that thing off your head." You tell him.
"But Ragnarok has already begun, you cannot stop it" Surtur says laughing, standing up with his sword and walking towards you.
You could really use a hand here but you have your strength and the photon blasts that you inherit from your mother to help you. Where could she be right now? It has been months since you last saw her.
While you were distracted thinking about your mother, Surtur caught the chain and lifted you close to his face.
"I am Asgard's doom, and so are you. All will suffer, all will burn." He spits in your face.
"Oh, that's intense. To be honest, seeing you grow really big and set fire to a planet would be quite the spectacle. But I choose option B where I bust out of these chains, knock that tiara off your head and stash it away in Asgard's vault". You say. You even impress yourself, it was your first immense and malevolent elemental fire demon after all.
"You cannot stop Ragnarok. Why fight it? Surtur says.
"Because..." You say while calling your father's Mjölnir to your hand "that's what heroes do."
The Mjölnir went right to your hand, breaking you free and the fight begins.
"You have made a grave mistake, Thorson" Surtur says.
"It's Danvers, actually and I make grave mistakes all the time. Everything seems to work out." You say.
All kind of monsters start to appear and they all run towards you. Not with good intentions, you suppose. That's when you start to punch, hit and throw photon blasts to every living thing you see and you see lots of them.
Spinning the Mjölnir you get rid of plenty of them but they seem to spawn out of nowhere. You throw the hammer to hit some more with the photon blasts and call it back later on to continue the fight. Things were going pretty well for you and you look badass, or so you think.
You've started to get some burns and cuts from the little fire demons so you jump and slam the Mjölnir onto the ground, a shock of lightnings explodes when you do. Surtur looks at you and shoots fire from his sword while you spin the Mjölnir to deflect the flames before they hit you.
You feel weaker and the force of the flames pushes you backwards. Before you can get more tired, you fly at Surtur with the Mjölnir, hit him and slam the Mjölnir into his face. While you continue the blows, Surtur starts to weaken. Well, so were you. You have to finish this quickly.
You jump to a column and throw yourself to Surtur, battering him with all your remained strength. Surtur sinks to his knees in an explosion of fire, leaving just the crown. You take it and using the chains you sling it to your back.
You are tired, a bit hurt and the creatures of the cavern are everywhere. You need to get out of there.
"Heimdall, I really need a fast exit here" You say rising the Mjölnir, like your father does all the time, hoping Heimdall listens but nothing happens.
You continue fighting the creatures but they seem infinite. A dragon break free of its chains and starts chasing you! Where is Heimdall and why he's not answering your call? You spin the Mjölnir and fly through the roof of the cavern to the surface of Muspelheim.
"Heimdall, come on." You say. Rising the Mjölnir again and again nothing happens.
The ground starts shaking and suddenly the dragon burst out of the ground grabbing you with its mouth. You throw the Mjölnir into its mouth and it pins the dragon to the ground.
"Stay" You say. Looking up, you try to talk with Heimdall again. "Heimdall? I'm running short on options."
More creatures come after you so you take the Mjölnir and start flying away. The dragon is chasing you closer and closer until you see lightnings around you.
You cross the portal sliding through the floor of the Observatory. After you, the head of the dragon appeared spreading what you suppose is it's blood over two women and a guy who is definitely not Heimdall.
That was a close one.
