I didn't know what to make of it people were already gossiping about what happened and it infuriated me. There was a reason I had the status I did, I would have to hit her hard and fast I decided that from now on I would make sure Ellerie Johnson knew her place.
For the rest of the week I went after Ellerie making sure her transition into this school wasn't easy I dropped hints to the school bully that she was the one responsible for telling the administration about his drug business when in fact it was me who ratted him out. Now don't get me wrong normally I would never stoop so low but she declared war when she flaunted our rules. Emily is the only one of my friends who is unsure about all this.
"I dunno Cass, she seems nice if a little rebellious but that's what teenagers are supposed to do, rebel I do it all the time".
"yeah but you know not to sit on tables and not to piss me off I may be a teachers pet but I love this damn school and she wants to destroy it."
"don't you get it Cass this is exactly what she wants, she wants you to get all riled up and it's gonna backfire on you". She exasperated and walks away I don't try and stop her, she'll come around.Plus it seems to be working she is looking more down and hasn't sat on the tables since and she even wore normal clothes yesterday so I'm starting to wear her down. Now however we're stuck in double biology as the last class of the week with my least favourite teacher Miss. Padma she doesn't love me the way all the other teachers do, a strict older woman with grey and black hair tied tightly in a bun. She doesn't hate me but she wouldn't fall over herself to help me like the other teachers would she even gave me detention once as punishment for not paying attention in class!
"Miss. Blake am I straining your attention." she quips her eyebrow raised I shake my head, in a way Miss. Padma reminds me a bit of Ellerie haughty and I can imagine her being a bit of a rebel when she was younger. Plus she's the only other person I know who wears a suit though hers is just a blazer and stiff trousers not the whole shebang like Ellerie's.
Finally the bell signals home time and I've never been so excited for a weekend in my life."hey mom I'm home!" I shout up the stairs as I carefully put my bag beside my desk and see my mother making her way downstairs "hi honey how was your week?" she asked starting to make dinner while I sat a the kitchen table. This was I Friday tradition I would tell her all about my week as she made a proper English roast, I wondered if Ellerie could make a roast and just as I was about to tell my mom about her I had the weirdest urge to just keep her to myself, I dismissed the odd feeling and continued. "oh mom you won't believe this new transfer student that came on Monday, she's from England and she's the worst she has no respect for authority, she showed up to school in a three piece suit and she sat on top of the lunch table her first day!" I ranted, telling my mom about the time she spoke back to Mr. Wilson and gave cheek to the deputy head who just laughed it off no matter what she did people still seem to like she was a very likable person to everyone else it was effortless everyone liked her without even trying she had a rather mischievous personality that was infectious to everyone.
"well she sounds like trouble Cassie keep away from her." mom warned,
I snorted "as if, she's so annoying I hate her." I stated feeling slightly uneasy about hating someone I'd never hated anyone in my life was that what I felt towards her I wasn't sure but if it wasn't hate what was it?Hey guys what do you think? Do you think Cassie and El really hate eah other?
