(Y/n) and Revenant didn't really speak much more on the matter at that time, but she was quick to tell him that he wouldn't be allowed to hurt her anymore. At first, he didn't see why, and even to the point of him agreeing, he still didn't see why. She'd need to explain this to him over time. Once the next day rolled around, just after breakfast, (y/n) went to look for Revenant, though she was still skeptical of this agreement, as she figured he'd turn on her anyway despite what had been said. Reaching his room, she tapped her knuckles against the door and waited patiently for him to come open it. The door flung open, the Simulacrum staring down at her.
"What?"
He groaned, having forgotten that he'd agreed to allow her to try and be friends with him. He thought she'd give up immediately.
"I dropped by to spend some time with you!"
(Y/n) chirped, a smile spread across her face. Just the sight of it made him want to vomit- and he couldn't even do that. Sighing deeply, he stepped to the side and allowed her to enter his room. Smile not wavering, she walked in, immediately noticing how dimly lit it was and how dirty everything seemed. Just looking at the table surface, she could see it was covered in a fine layer of dust; it was shocking she could even see it despite how dark it was in the room.
"Don't you ever clean?"
She asked, running her finger along a different surface and inspecting it to find even more dust.
"No. I don't need to. It doesn't bother me."
"Okay, fine. But why is it so dark?"
He groaned again, moving past her after shutting his door and plopped himself down on the couch, grabbing the remote to his TV and flipping through some channels. (Y/n) continued looking around, growing increasingly uncomfortable with the amount of dust that was on every surface she touched. Silently, she went through his cabinets until she found some neglected cleaning supplies. Pulling on a pair of gloves and holding a container of wipes in hand, she quickly went to work on cleaning the entire little room. Revenant had long since turned to watch her, eyes trained on her and all background noise tuned out as he just watched (y/n) clean. Her process was… interesting. She was extremely meticulous as she went, never tracking back to a spot she'd already cleaned, confident it was perfect. Considering she'd come over to spend time with him, it was almost amusing that she'd spent the first 45 minutes cleaning.
Soon, she sat beside him, instantly eyeing the scarf he wore around his neck and head. Reaching out, she tried to feel the material, but his hand caught her wrist before it could make contact, gaze remaining trained on the television.
"What do you think you're doing?"
"When was the last time that was cleaned?"
"It hasn't been cleaned in a long time. There isn't a need to."
"Really? I mean- it's probably mostly made of blood and dirt at this point than it is any form of material. Let me clean it for you, please?"
"No."
He stated firmly, grip tightening on her wrist briefly before releasing it, the girl letting it drop to her lap, his own hand falling to his leg.
"Do not push your luck."
(Y/n) nodded, tucking her legs up under her on the couch and leaning against the arm, her own gaze fixing on the TV screen now. Whatever he was watching didn't seem interesting to her, but she didn't really mind, though she became acutely aware whenever his gaze shifted to her. He'd stare for a few minutes at a time, her ears burning with embarrassment the entire duration. Eventually, she worked up a little courage.
