Chapter 22

Taehyung's POV

I gazed at the ministry panel with a sour expression , the prime minister sighed and gazed up at me . " This thing is hurting my brain Tae - ah , I can handle politics and diplomacy but this riddle ....urgh..." He groaned making me roll my eyes. 

Out of all these men , there were none who would help me to solve a riddle? How can they even call themselves the smart 9? . " This is what I got feeding you ? And you call yourselves capable to sit here ? Prime Minister.....what is the explanation ? Lantern festival is coming soon and I want to celebrate it with my new concubine but ......I think...." I sighed flipping my raven hair , " I'm really disappointed in you all- "

I got interrupted by some chaos out of  the court room . I eyed Yoongi who nodded and walked out to check on what's wrong . A few minutes later he walked in with the same expression , no one could read what's in his mind . His blue hair looked soft and bouncy as he bowed on his one knee.

" Your majesty......there's a young lad claiming to know the answer of this riddle , he looks well built and good looking .....not some commoner . What do you think ? Shall we let him in?" He asked with his head lowered down .

" Ummm....Yes , let him in ." I ordered slumping on my seat and lazily eyeing the tall figure walking in as the door opened , his raven hair covering half of his left eye , the way he walked in was kinda intimidating while he's lower half of the face was covered with a netted mask.  I raised a brow as he bowed infront of me. 

" Don't worry , I'm not your friend not enemy . I'm just here to get some handful of gold coins ." He smirked pointing at my guards already pointing their swords at that man . I gestured them to relax and stared at him . " My salute to your majesty , it's a pleasure to meet you . " By his voice , I could say he was younger than me . I nodded .

" So.....why are you here? You know right there's a saying called give and take ? How can you say that you know the answer even though you don't know the question? And what's with your mysterious get up?" I asked making him chuckle .

" My lord , it's common in my land , I'm just a mere foreigner who came to know that the Kingdom's wise men were trying to figure out the solution of a riddle , out of curiosity I walked in the palace . I'm sorry for my interruption . I'll leave if-" he eyed me , he's dull gaze made me frown .

" Where are you from? I don't know any kingdom where men were veils like female . Are you really here to solve a riddle.....or you are a spy ?" I asked with a calm face . He chuckled making me more mad and curious . He's mysterious look made my curiousity more inevitable .

" Aha.....my majesty looks curious about this peasant . My lord , you don't even know from where I belong , it's absurd for me to answer." He smirked . " But I'll remove this veil for you , it's not appropriate for me to talk infront of a king like this ." He slowly removed the veil showing his flawless face .
