Akeela's POV
"Akeela!" My mom yelled from the kitchen. I walked downstairs in a mood.tomorrow was my first day of school, but at least it's senior year.
"What mom?" I asked.
"I need too talk to you about you birthday present." She said. Today is my birthday. I sighed and then said,
"Do I really have to get presents?" I hated when my parents spoiled me. There not rich, in fact there pretty poor, so I don't like it when they spend the money they have on me. It makes me feel, selfish.
"Don't worry, I didn't buy anything, your present really isn't a choice. I couldn't get rid of it, even if I tried." She stated clearly."Ok what is it then?" I asked, concerned.
"Well, your not human, but I can't tell you any more until your father gets home." I stood there, then I laughed until my side's hurt.
"You really had me going there for a second! Not human?! Ha ha ha ha!" I laughed. I wiped away my tears from luaghing only to find my mom looking more serious than I've ever seen her before. The only thing that was now going thorough my mind was, "not human?".
