Supporting Horikoshi - A PSA

Ok, so recently, I've been seeing the more toxic side of the My Hero Academia fandom. Let me just say, WOW IT SUCKS. People have been sending death threats to Horikoshi, saying that if ships like TodoDeku and KiriBaku don't become canon, then they'll kill him. They've even made petitions to force him to make the ships canon, and someone actually had the nerve to make an anti-Horikoshi flag.

     If you are one of these people, PLEASE STOP! If you don't like what he's writing, then don't read it. That's what fanfiction is for. There is no need to wish death upon Horikoshi and everyone who has straight ships, and/or is straight themselves. Just stop.

If people don't ship KiriBaku and/or TodoDeku , that's fine. If they ship IzuOcha and/or TodoMomo or Kacchaco, that's fine too. That's their business. Personally, I ship IzuOcha and TodoMomo, but I have friends who don't. That doesn't mean we're constantly at each other's throats about it. I mean, I like diving into their ships as well. Like BakuDeku, I'm not the biggest shipper, by any means, but it's a fun concept to write about!

I've asked a friend to help me out with this, and I'll be tagging a couple more, so hopefully you'll see this around a bit more.

     You can ship what you want, that's your business. But don't force your ships onto others, AND PLEASE DON'T THREATEN THE AUTHOR. It's unfair to him. It's VERY wrong and unfair to him. I can't stress this enough.

     I know it's already a hashtag that's going around some Social Media platforms, and I'm not sure if it's going around Wattpad, or has ever gone around Wattpad, but let's join together and try our best to show Horikoshi some much needed support, yeah?

     He doesn't deserve all this hate he's getting, and it's so upsetting to watch so called "fans" act this way. It's just so childish.

     Let's be honest for a moment, the main characters ARE 15/16. THEY ARE KIDS, WHO'RE JUST TRAINING TO BE HEROES. There's nothing wrong with writing fanfiction about your ships, or making fanart, or however you'd like to express your love. However, there's no point in making it canon right now, as the characters barely have enough time to even CONSIDER relationships. They're too busy trying not to let the League Of Villains kill them, while training to be heroes. Sure, it'd be great to see some ships in the future, but we should let HORIKOSHI pick what those ships will be.

     Again, I get it. I write fanfiction for ships myself, and I enjoy reading it. It fun and all, but that's only when we're not tearing each other apart because we have different opinions on ships.

     Let's be positive rather than negative, and lift eachother up rather than bring each other down. Okay? Thanks for reading this if you did, anyway here are the people I'll be tagging:
