The gender that is being discriminated the most in current times is none other than the LGBTQ community. For years and years they have struggled to get equal rights and opportunities and finally, they broke through and now in many countries they can be open about their sexuality and be proud of who they are. But still there are many countries who do not accept them, in some countries belonging to the LGBTQ is actually a crime. As in, one could go to jail for just being their true selves.
The people belonging to the LGBTQ are still suffering for one reason or another. For some of them, just living is the toughest thing. Going out every day, knowing how the other people think of you, the people belonging to this community are in the end, humans and humans are social beings. These people are no different from us, it bothers them what the other person might be thinking about them. Many times they even have to face isolation because the conservative mentality of the society despises them. Most of the people still think that the LGBTQ people are sick and are suffering from a disease and some people even think that if we isolate them, the disease might go. If we put ourselves in their shoes, would we tolerate this nonsense that the society has dropped on us? The answer is, "No", we would retaliate right then and there, but in most places they can't even do that. They don't have a choice but to accept the society, even if it means that they have to lie to themselves.
Everyone has people who are close to them, but sometimes when our close ones find out that we belong to the LGBTQ, they start to act differently; it takes time for them to digest the fact that we belong to the third gender and sometimes it changes the entire relationship from the core. Trust me, that is far from the worst things, in some cases when the guardians find out about their ward's sexuality, they throw them out of the house or they never talk to them again. They are treated in a horrible manner and the guardians look at them with a disgust in their eyes.
"How does belonging to the LGBTQ affect our purpose?"
There are obviously two sides to it,
The positive side, in today's time there are many organizations that actually help the people from the LGBTQ community, there are also firms who hire only from the community. The entire community has struggled a lot and that has also resulted the people to grow closer and that has helped in making connections easier, the people of the LGBTQ are always ready to help their fellow mates. There are also certain rights that empower the people of this gender and all of this has made achieving their purpose easier than how it used to be.
The negative side, even though many countries have accepted LGBTQ to be a gender, the people living there haven't, people of this gender still face discrimination in different sectors. There are people who are still homophobic, they don't accept this gender, they even despise them, many times people don't hire them just because of their sexual orientations.
Suppose if there is a person named "Scott" and he's bisexual, his purpose is to save the animals on this earth by becoming a lawyer. He obviously can do the job better than any other person, but the person hiring is homophobic and rejects his job application just because of Scott's sexuality. That is how a person belonging to this gender might never achieve their purpose. Imagine not achieving our purpose just because we belong to a different gender, something so trivial like gender can act as a huge obstruction in the path towards achieving our purpose.
Many religions do not accept homosexuality and many purification rituals are held for a homosexual person, according to them homosexuality means impurity.
Many people do not approve of the LGBTQ because they think that belonging to the LGBTQ means going against the nature, but they fail to understand the fact that nature itself has made them like that, they didn't voluntarily choose this gender.
If the nature itself doesn't mind their sexuality, then why should we? Why do we hate them even though they have done nothing wrong to us? Why do they disgust us, when all they are asking us is for our help?
Aren't they all humans just like us?
Everyone has the right to love something, everyone has the right to achieve their dreams and achieve their purpose in life, and the LGBTQ are not any different.
The main question here is,
"Can the LGBTQ still achieve their purpose?"
Of course, they can! They just have to show the world how good they are at what they do. If they do a fine job, then obviously there will be no one to stop them. If one gives their heart and soul to a thing, there is no one in the world who can stop them and surely a day will come when their gender will be accepted all around the world, and surely, on that day they will look in the sky and pat themselves on their back for what they have been through to make these changes to the mentality of other people.
