After I got home from school, I went to my room and did my homework while waiting for my dad to come home from work. It didn't take long, for my dad to get home; the moment I heard the front door open and my dad call out that he was home. Once I heard him I got up from my desk in my room and ran out to the living room to greet him. Once I was out in the living room, it gave my dad a shock, mainly because I usually don't say hi when he gets home and just stay in my room when he gets home.
"Hey dad?" I said to him.
"Yes sweetie?" replied my dad.
"When are you going to send the letter to Nathan?" I replied.
"Um soon, just let me find one of the wolves in our house so that they can do that." Replied my dad.
"Ok! Dad?" I replied.
"Yes?" My dad replied as he gave me a what now? look.
"Can you teach me how to know if someone is lying by reading their emotions?" I asked.
"Uh... I can try. You see sweetie this ability is something that you can't learn in a day, you have to work on it and practice it in order to be able to use it." My dad replied and then added, "Which reminds me, have you been working on remembering what color matches what emotion and your ability to see people's emotions?"
"No, I have a lot of homework and other things bothering me to work on." I replied.
"Well I have work and a family to take care of and I still am able to set aside time to practice on my special ability." My dad replied back while making a point.
"Okay, I'll find a way to work on it." I said begrudgingly and then went back to my bed room to work on homework. Then about 30 minutes later I heard the house phone ring and my dad answer the phone. "Hello Lucas residents. Oh it's you." I heard my dad reply to the person on the phone on a loathing tone. Then all of the sudden my dad yells down the hall to me, "Luna it's for you. Please don't talk to long." Right after I heard my dad say this I wondered, “Who could it be? I know I keep the conversations that I have with Chrissie to the minimum so that I don't annoy my parents by talking on the phone for hours on end. But why would my dad tell me this, he knows that I don't talk on the phone for too long.” So I decided to go and find out who was on the phone. So when I got where my dad was in the living room, I was soon handed the phone as my dad made it seem like he didn't want to have anything to do with whoever it was on the phone. So once I had the phone, I answered it and started to go back down the hall to my room so that I could try to do my homework while talking on the phone. When I answered the phone, a boy's voice replied on the other end of the line, "Hey." Replied the voice.
"Nathan?" I replied back.
"I got your letter, so we are now officially dating." He then replied.
"Yeah so, just letting you know there are some rules you need to follow if you want to date me." I replied as there was a short pause on the other end.
"Did your father make you say that?" He replied a little hesitant.
"No!" I shouted getting a little mad at him.
"Oh ok, so what are the rules?" Nathan replied.
"Ok first off no sitting by me on the bus." I replied.
"Why?" Nathan replied back.
"Because I sit by Chelsea and Chrissie on the bus and we do a little bit of gossiping before we get to the school." I replied.
