A concert to remember

The big day

Since I fell asleep so late I only woke up at about noon. It didn't really matter since the concert started at 7 o'clock. My dad and Emily had gone down to get some food. I decided to take a shower.

While I was in the shower I heard someone knocking on the door. I assumed it was Emily or my dad so I didn't bother opening the door. Not even a minute later, I heard someone knocking on the door again. I wrapped my body with a big white towel. I got out of the shower and walked towards the door. When I opened it there was nobody there. I looked down and noticed a little card on the ground. I was a bit confused. I looked down the hall but there was nobody there. I picked up the card and read it. It said

"Meet me at the bench behind the hotel, near the pool at 11. I need to see you again.

                                                 -Shawn"

My heart started to beat faster than the speed of light. Shawn Mendes wanted yo see me! I quickly got dressed. Since it was boiling outside I decided to wear my high wasted shorts with my favorite crop top. I brushed my long brown hair and did my makeup. I needed to look perfect.

I went to join Emily and dad. I spotted Emily sitting alone. I walked up to her and asked where my dad was.

-Hey Em! Where's my dad?

-Hey! Umm, I'm not sure. He said he was going to ask for clean towels or something. Anyways, why don't you get something to eat. We have A LOT to talk about.

Em and I sat there for almost 2 hours talking about what happened the night before. I even  showed her the little message Shawn left me. Even Em was excited. I don't think she was jealous because even though she loves Shawn, she prefers Nick Jonas.

We made sure we left the hotel early to get good seats. We were standing outside in the heat for a few hours. We finally got in. We got seats in the second row. As we were waiting for the concert to begin I started getting nervous. I don't know why.

*2 hours later*

The concert was great. I had the best time ever. I even made eye contact with shawn a few times! It was about 9 o'clock when the show ended. We were hungry but we had to go to the meet and greet. We didn't wait very long. It was finally Emily's turn ti meet him. She went up to him and hugged him. They took a picture and then he signed her poster. As she walked back towards me she smiled and wished me luck.

It was my turn. I had butterflies in stomach. I then ran up to him and jumped in his arms. I put my head on his shoulder. He held me tight and whispered into my ear.

-Hi beautiful, you look great. Did you get my message?

-Thanks Shawn, so do you. I said awkwardly. Yeah I did. I'll be there at 11.

-Okay, I can't wait.

He put me down and we took a picture together then I left.  During that moment, it felt like my life was perfect.
