Remember Me

Prologue

I sat in the rain and waited for Tom to come and meet me like we did after school every day. I think I sat on the kirb for an hour before I realized he wasn't coming. When that thought hit me I cried. I was in the rain fro another half an hour crying. After that session I ran home.

My mother was outside and Toms mum was talking to her on the porch. I ran faster over to them, "Hey Mrs Clarke! Where's Tom?". They turned and smiled sadly at me. "Cassie, Tom, his father and I are moving. You won't be able to see each either anymore, I've given you're mum the new phone number so you can keep in contact but I don't think that'll be the case for very long I'm afraid." Mrs Clarke explained. As she finished the sentence my world came crashing down. I would get bullied at school again if Tom wasn't there.

I decided to stay strong for him though and put on a brave face, "OK, can you tell Tom I'll miss him and I hope he has a good life? I won't try to keep in contact with him. If he doesn't make an effort neither will I." I replied to her, I gave a quick smile and walked upstairs. The last time I saw Tom was the next day. He gave me a pack of pink hair dye and told me too use it when I was 15 in his memory. The last day I saw him was the 11th of November so I gave him a necklace with 11 on it. He smiled at this and gave me a hug before shedding a few tears and running to his car.

After Tom left I got bullied a lot more, my dad left when I was thirteen and my mum turned to alcohol. I did dye my hair pink when I was 15 and at age 18 got a tattoo of the word 11. That was my lucky number. I discovered a gaming channel on YouTube called the Yogscast and quickly became obsessed with them and Hat films, through them I found Area 11. The music they play speaks to me in a way and I know all the lyrics, I love that their mascot is a pink haired girl called Cassandra. My life is still horrible though, my mum treats me like shit and my dad is nowhere to be found, that though, is about to change.
