It was a beautiful day on the Island of Sodor, all the engines were busy doing their jobs along the railways, when suddenly, a mysterious dark tender engine covered by purple smoke sped down the main line.

"Bust my buffers! What on Sodor is that?" Said Philip the diesel engine passed by. He had never seen that engine before.
The mysterious engine passed through Crocks Scrapyard as the purple steam around it covered up some scraps, and then a giant scrap monster appeared through the steam.
"Aaaaaaah!" Philip screamed and ran away.
Meanwhile, deep underground below the Knapford Station, a group of people were sitting at the computers and watching all of this.

"10:50am, the dark steam engine was witnessed!" Said one of the men. "And at 10:55, a giant monsterous being appears! The code name is "Rail Raider"! What should we do, commander Hatt?"
"Fire the capture field," Yelled commender Topham Hatt, a fat man standing after those at computers. "And then activate optical camouflage immediately!"
High above the island, a light beam was fired from an engine-shaped artificial satellite onto the monster.
"Capture completes!" "Alright! Steamalion 02 Edward, prepare for departure!"
At the Tidmouth Sheds, which is now empty as the engines are still working outside, the turntable suddenly sank down. As it raised back to the tracks, a familiar engine had already been loaded onto it.
"Steamerion 02 Edward, ALL ABOARD!" Edward the blue tender engine showed a determined expression on his face, and then set off from the turntable.
