My first day in the city. No work, worry, or care in the world. Well, one care. Harry. He was running amuck, on his own, in the shadows. He had escaped from maximum prison during a power outage, causing him to escape easily. He was a murderer.
Why would I care, you may ask?
Harry and me, had something back in high school. We dated for three years, until he snapped. He began to be rude, and slightly abusive. When it got worse, he pulled a knife at school. He almost cut some kid in the throat. And I thought, 'How? My sweet Harry, running around, killing.'
He was known as 'The London Lady Killer'.
I wasn't afraid of him, no. But what was I afraid of? Not knowing. Not knowing what he would do. Not knowing if he could be following me, prepared to jump out at any given moment. Not knowing what he was capable of. Not knowing what he could do, or how he did it. That's what I'm afraid of, that's what I feared most.
And the worst part, the three people he killed looked like me. Short blonde hair, blue eyes, a short and slender girl.
He was coming for me, and that's when it clicked in my head.
I was going to die.
