It Hurts...

Rage burned in Rin's heart, as she disguised it, sitting down, across the love making couple, with a smile.

She had gotten used to 'fake smiles' a lot.

"Get off me, Ms. Park!" Jin demanded in a tight voice.

"Fine! I will leave you both to your meeting. Au revoir!" Noah walked away, giving Jin a peck on his cheeks.

Rin's fingers folded in fury, as she suppressed her seething rage.

"I am sorry about that, Rin! I..." Jin was cut off in mid air.

"It's Ms. Rin, Mr. Kim!" Rin corrected him.

"Yes! Indeed! It's Ms. Rin! Not for me, to others. I am not calling you that! And you are letting me explain what just happened!" Jin began to loose his temper.

"None of your personal matters is my concern, Mr. Kim! JaeBum told me you had something to discuss." Rin smiled tightly.

"I AM NOT DISCUSSING ANYTHING WITH YOU! LET ME EXPLAIN FIRST!" Jin stood up, shouting in anger, his fists hitting the table. The impact pulled down a glass vase on the table, shredding into pieces in their eyesight.

"I wasn't allowed, seven years back. You too don't deserve it, Mr. Jin! If you have nothing else to say, I am leaving." Rin's eyes moved to his face in serenity. Saying that, she calmly moved to the door.

Jin rushed behind her, pressing her to the wall, his hands behind her, so she wasn't hurt.

They both felt their heartbeats racing at the forceful contact. This was a too familiar incident.

Now, one expressed the emotions in his face, while the other oppressed it down in her heart.

"I am not letting you run away anymore! I am fighting for you! That Nam Joo Hyuk will never lay his hands on you! You are mine! Only mine!" Jin breathed against her ears, taking his hands back.

Rin who stood like a cold rock till then, now slowly pushed his hands away, making way to her cabin.

She could hear her heartbeat in her ears. She held back the tears that tried to stumble out of its brim.

Seven years after, however bold she grew back, she was still the girl who loved him. He was still the man who could move her heart in ways no one did.

If it wasn't for the soundproof room, the whole floor would have heard them.

Soobin, who knew about his role in uniting the pair, looked up, to see a red eyed Rin enter the room.

She silently went to her chair, mechanically taking the files, her gaze fixed on the unclear words and drawings, as her soul zoned off.

Soobin felt a heartache, as he saw his boss. One week with her, and he had never seen this side of her.

"Ms. Rin! May I?" A breathy voice asked from the door.

Soobin who was too familiar with the owner, didn't mind waking his boss up from her dream.

"Ma'am! May I?" The voice was a lil bit louder this time, waking Rin up.

"Uhm... Yes... Yes... You may! Soobin! Didn't you hear him?" Rin gave permission, while turning around to him.

"I am sorry ma'am! I was busy with the work you left me. I didn't hear him." Soobin sheepishly apologised.

How much hate, he held for Yeonjun, was never to be bought up in work.

So he decided to be as amicable as possible.

"What may I help you with, Sir?" Soobin emphasized the word 'sir', giving his opponent an equal warning.

"My boss invites Ms. Rin to a party, to welcome the new appointments. You are invited too." Yeonjun replied with cold respect.

"I will be there!" Rin waved him off with her hands.

As Yeonjun left, the anger harboured in Soobin's heart melted, turning to a stinging pain.

"You both know each other?!" Rin's voice confirmed the fact, rather than asking it.

"Y-Yes Ms. Rin!" Soobin looked down. It was to hide his emotions away.

"It's better to vent out your emotions, then hold it back! Go to the restroom, and heal yourself! I don't want my subordinate weak over a distraction." Rin's emotionless voice calmed Soobin, as he went out.

Rin sat back, looking at the passing figure. Even seven years couldn't wash away the pain she went through.

°

"I DON'T WANT ANOTHER F*****G WORD FROM YOU, LEE SEUL RIN! YOU ARE JUST LIKE MINSUH WHO CHEATED ON ME! I WISH I NEVER MET YOU! YOU AND I ARE DONE! IT'S OVER!"

Jin's face was red, his eyes filled with tears of being betrayed and anger and pain. He tore the envelope into pieces. That appointment letter, a moment ago, was the cause of his happiness.

"Jin oppa! Jin oppa! Wait! Hear me out! I did nothing wrong! It wasn't me! Please believe me! You are the one I love!" Rin shouted behind him. Tears fell from her eyes, her heart breaking into shards mercilessly.

"Rin! Get up! He won't hear you!" Seung Ho pulled up Rin, who was on her knees.

"How can you cheat him, Rin?"

Her friends, even they doubted her.

"I did not..." Her voice was breaking.

They all left her behind, as she was held in Seung Ho's arms.

"I love him! I never kissed Seung Ho oppa..." Rin's hoarse voice wavered, as darkness welcomed her.

"I know!" Seung Ho's voice reached her from a distance.

Those glass shards reminded Rin her heart, as she wept into her palm.

Soobin closed the door behind him. He had just come in to see her cry.

He guarded the room for his boss, allowing her to get over her pain, just like she helped him.
