Her breath puffed out before her in a cloud of white before it dissipated into the frigid air. A baggy, sea green sweater fell off her shoulders showing a year-old Jesus fish tattoo, while her skin tight blue jeans started ripping by her feet. The only sound was her ragged breathing as she sprinted away from the hotel. Away from the people who wanted to torture and kill her. Only moments after she rounded the corner into the dimly lit alleyway did she realize the mistake she made. There was no escape, no doors or ladders. Nothing but the cold bricks of the wall that was inches from her face. Panic swelled within her as she heard the slapping of her pursuers feet on the concrete. There was no where to turn to and she was not fast enough to leave her position. A cry escaped her lips as the first man rounded the corner. Paralyzed by her fear she stood there as the man grabbed her by the neck and started squeezing. Only when she heard the sound of her name from above did she start fighting, but it was no use. She wasn't strong enough. Her eyes started closing as the life waned from her body. A whoosh sounded in her ears and she knew this was the end. All of a sudden, as if in a dream, the man was ripped from her neck and she was slammed into the wall. The last think she saw was the running of feet over to her and a voice that calmed her. Even though she didn't know who it was, who saved her, she knew she was safe.
