---Trigger warning for violence---

Mayla walked into the bar with shivering hands. A thousand questions ran through her head but she took a deep breath and tried to shut them up. She had to stay calm. The bar had a wooden counter at the right and a couple of tables in the middle of the room. The furniture was made of dark wood and the seats had burgundy velvet covers. One wall was built of cold stones while the others were covered in white carpet. It looked quite classy after all. Mayla glanced around. Only around 20 people were in the bar. At the counter she saw Rigel stand next to another man. The man was slightly taller and more chubby than Rigel. His shoulder-long brown locks didn't properly hide the long scar on his right cheek. The girl cracked her knuckles and glanced around again. That man wasn't Moon, was he? Rigel looked over to her and gestured her to come over. Mayla took another deep breath and walked to them.

"Hey", he said with a low voice, "Give me your phone, Moon doesn't want a phone around during a business talk. You get it back when you leave". She obeyed handing him her phone reluctantly. He put it into a box beneath the counter.

"Okay, follow me". He walked past the bar counter to a table in the corner. No table close to it was occupied only that one. At the table was a corner bench covered with the same velvet covers. A man and a woman sat at it. The man had broad shoulders and was taller than the woman, he had black hair in a military short cut. His dark sunken in eyes were focused and he had a scar at his chin that only sharpened his already hard features. Mayla's breath stagnated at his appearance. To not panic to much she focused her attention on the woman next to him. She had straight black hair that fell down to her shoulders smoothly and framed her bronze face. In the dim lighting Mayla couldn't see more of the woman's face. She wore a tight dark shirt and a black blazer. On the table in front of her lay a pair of mat black leather gloves and a glass with a dark liquid. They reached the table and Rigel waited for the two to look at him and stop talking with low voices before he spoke up.

"The girl I mentioned", he stated stiffly, pointing at Mayla.

Nervously, Mayla tried to hide her shaking hands but hardly managed to as the two looked her up and down. Mayla glanced at the man. She felt her palms getting even more sweaty. He appeared composed and authoritarian. Under his gaze her muscles tensed up even more, that strong man could probably snap her entire body between his hands. Hastily she tried to distract from that thought by looking at the woman. Which was a mistake. From nearby she could see her a little better. She had cold grey unblinking eyes that seemed to drill right into the girls mind.

In her expression Mayla couldn't read anything. The woman didn't move except of her eyes. Under this gaze the girls heart went even wilder and she felt her whole body shake. With every passing moment of silence her anxiety grew. Eventually her focus drifted back to the man. He simply looked at her calmly.

Suddenly the man slowly turned his head to the woman, something questioning hovered over his hard features. She made a gesture with her hand. Immediately the man next to her got up to leave with Rigel. The realization hit the girl, surprise being plastered over her face.

"Sit down", the woman commanded with a voice that send a shiver down Mayla's spine. It was cold but modulate at the same time. There was no emotion behind it and no expression on her face at all. Only her eyes glimmered in a way Mayla couldn't sort in.

She sat down on the bench stiffly, only one meter away from the woman due to the lack of space on the corner bench.

"Y-You are Moon?", Mayla mouthed with a suddenly dry throat as she looked at the woman more closely. She didn't know why she thought Moon would be a man, probably because Paulson had said it.

The stone grey eyes looked at her as she remarked: "And you are Mayla".

The brunette swallowed hard while she hastily nodded. Moon was really attractive to say the least and had something eye-catching. The cold in her eyes and the expressionless face with her head held high and the perfectly straight posture intrigued her a lot. The worst was that it seemed like she didn't blink at all. The aura was dominant but especially thrilling. Her presence took Mayla completely in and the girl's heart raced. That Moon was a woman changed nothing, Rigel's words echoed in her head "a demon", he had called her. And the girl had no doubt that this woman was capable of awful things. She had gestured a man who had the body of Vin Diesel away with one small movement of her hand, without even looking at him.
