Sorting Order Matters

Mikayla decided that she wasn't going to take the potion as it's kinda pointless for it to work on an Aevus Seer, considering she can recall her memories via a vision easily. She was just watching the others to make sure that they were only seeing the memory and not reliving it. She looked at her watch after they downed the potion, it took three minutes for the potion to kick in. She watched the group almost fall asleep, she timed how long the reel lasts. Hermione was the first awake, then Ron and Ginny at the same time, it took an extra five minutes before Avery came around. "The more good and bad memories the longer it lasts, good to know, no one seemed distressed or reliving the bad moments. How did it feel for you guys?" Mikayla questioned them, "I was watching mine by a tv." Avery admits, Ron, Ginny and Hermione sigh in relief as they confirm that they also saw it through a tv screen. "Perfect! How's everyone feeling now?" They informed Mikayla that they felt alright, normal, Ron mentioned he was hungry but the group ruled that out as Ron being Ron.

Mikayla corrected her number of bottles to give Fred and George as 1,168 bottles instead of 1,172 since Ron, Hermione, Ginny and Avery had all drank a full bottle each. Charlie arrived in the room, saying that Bill and Fleur were downstairs with their gold. Mikayla and Avery jog down the stairs into the sitting room to be greeted by the order. Mikayla looks at Avery hoping her sister had some answers to why the whole order was in the burrow. "We'll start with you first Avery. Mikayla can wait in the kitchen or something until we want you here." Dumbledore asks, "sure thing." She squeezed Avery's hands wishing her sister good luck before leaving the room to sit in the kitchen. Hermione, Ginny and Ron joined Mikayla in the kitchen after a few minutes with a pack of cards to play explodable snap, "prepare to lose." Mikayla gloats as she cracks her neck and fingers before rolling back her shoulders and picking up her cards. "Bavarian Rules?" Ginny asks them, Ron, Hermione and Mikayla agree to play Bavarian Rules.

Mikayla cheered excitedly when she got her first win on the fifth game. "I told you, I was just warming up." She told the others, before pulling her hair into a ponytail to keep it out of face so that she could focus on the game. Unfortunately, Avery came into view saying that Mikayla is wanted in the living room. Mikayla gave Avery her cards allowing the brunette to take over. Mikayla slowly approached the sitting room door, she takes a deep breath as her hand lands on the doorknob, she put on a brave smile before entering the room. "Mikayla, take a seat." Mikayla nods, taking a seat between the twins on the couch. "First we'll get the counting over with." Dumbledore informed her, Mikayla nodded looking at Bill who passed the heavy bag of golden coins over to Mikayla, Bill held an empty bag, Mikayla began transferring the coins counting them in her head, telling the group every time she reached 1,000.

Once she reach 23,000 Galleons, she stopped counting giving Bill the bag she was holding, saying that she's reach 23,000. Bill looked confused as to why there was still coins in bag, since Avery had already gotten her coins out of the bag as well. Bill picks up Mikayla and Avery's bags to feel the weight of them, Avery's was significantly lighter than Mikayla, too light in fact. "I'll recount Avery's, make sure she actually counted out 17,000." Bill quickly did as promised but only counted 15,000 Galleons, and Avery was called back into the room. "Yea- oh." She noticed that Bill was adding golden coins to her bag. "Look I was hoping Mikayla wouldn't have to count hers since I had counted out mine.." Mikayla looked at her sister, "Av, why were you trying to sneak me 2,000 Galleons?" Avery sighed, "because, I wanted to thank you for everything you've done for me to keep me safe." Mikayla shook her head, standing up and pulling her sister into a hug, whispering "you being happy is all the thanks I need." Avery sadly laughed and held tight onto her sister.

"If you really want to give that money away, give it to the Weasleys but don't tell them." Mikayla whispered to Avery, Avery smirked nodding agreeing it was a, "good idea." She winked at the blonde, "is that all you wanted me for?" Avery questioned, "yes Miss Carra." Dumbledore smiled, Mikayla looked at Avery confused at Dumbledore calling her Miss Carra, "I might've changed my name to Avery Imelda Carra." Mikayla gasped pulling her sister into a hug out of shock, "congrats Av, why didn't you tell me?" "I wanted it to be a surprise." Mikayla chuckled, letting go of Avery looking the brunette dead in the eye, "are you happy?" She asked in a whisper, "I am." Mikayla wiped a tear, "now get out of here before you have me crying like a baby." Avery laughs before leaving the room.

"So, what other surprises do you lot have?" Mikayla chuckled wiping away a handful of tears that had fallen with her jumper's sleeve. "We want you to write a letter to the prophet or record yourself answering their questions, this way they can't spring questions on you." Lupin explains to Mikayla, who nodded as she returned to Fred and George's side, "I'll do the voice recording, what are the questions?" Dumbledore handed the blonde a sheet of parchment with 15 questions on it that they had approved. "Would you rather to record this alone or with all of us here?" Moody asks the blonde as she reads the questions, "is it ok if I do this alone? You can all listen to it after I record it, you know to approve it." Tonks set up the recording gear, showing Mikayla how to use it, before the group left the room. Mikayla took a deep breath before pressing record, "Hi, this is Mikayla Black, I'm going to answer some of your questions...."

"I hope my answers satisfy your curiosity, thank you for the opportunity, this is has been Mikayla Black answering your questions." Mikayla turned off the recording, calling everyone back into the sitting. "I rather you'd listen to that when I wasn't here, because I'll just want to record it again." They all agree to wait before listen to Mikayla's tape. "Alright, last order of Mikayla's business. The Carra Estate." Mikayla's eyebrows furrowed in confusion on why they wanted to talk about the Carra Estate. "What about it?" Mikayla questioned, "just wondering if you're ok with the order using it as a safe house if we are ever forced into hiding." Tonks put Mikayla's mind at ease, "oh yeah, of course." Mikayla didn't hesitate to give the order permission to use the estate as a safe house.

"Right I best be off, things to do." Dumbledore clapped, everyone wished him goodbyes before he disapparated. It wasn't long until the rest of order followed his lead, except Tonks who wanted to talk to Molly alone. "Fred, George, come with me, Avery and I have a new potion for you." The twins nodded following Mikayla into the kitchen, they collected Avery before the four of them make their way to the girls' room. "So Memoria is finished, it shows you a reel of your best and worst memories that have taken place in the last 72 hours. It's like you're watching it on the tv." Avery explains as Mikayla retrieves her blue bag, "there's 1,168 bottles in my box in my bag." Mikayla handed the bag to Fred, him and George had massive grins on their faces.

"What?" Mikayla questioned looking at Avery to see if she knew why they were so happy, but she looked just as confused as Mikayla was. "Nothing, just proud of you both. You're putting a lot of your time into inventing and improving the shops stock." Fred smile moving over to the blonde who was blushing, "well we care a lot about the shop, it's given us a little bit of freedom that we both needed this summer." Avery answered the boys, knowing Mikayla's words would fail her since she was looking extremely flustered. "Yeah, we'll do anything to help." Mikayla smiled looking up to Fred.
