Kimberly Henderson woke up to sun streaming through the window, Steve's arm hooked around her, and their legs intertwined. She smiled to herself, but her smile faded when she looked at the clock in Steve's room.

"Steve," she said, trying to shake him awake.

"I love you too," he mumbled against her bare skin while he pulled her closer to him.

"Steve," she said more urgently. "You're gonna be late for work."

"Huh?" he asked, still half asleep.

"You're gonna be late for work!" Kim repeated.

Steve leapt out of bed and began rushing around his room. "Shit! Shit! Shit! Goddamn it! Ouch!" he yelled, stubbing his toe on his desk leg.

Kim got out of bed and snatched up one of Steve abandoned tee shirts, letting it fall to her mid thigh. As she walked out of the room to go make Steve breakfast, he worked on his top priority: fixing his hair.

"Here you go," she said a minute later, sliding a plate with peanut butter toast across the counter to him.

"Thanks," he said, shoving the whole thing into his mouth in two bites. "Delicious."

She rolled her eyes. "I didn't think you'd be able to taste anything with how fast you ate that."

He smirked as he leaned down to kiss her, his lips still tasting like peanut butter. As the kiss became more heated, he lifted her up onto the counter she had been leaning against.

"Steve," she smiled, pulling away. "You're gonna be late!"

"Right, right," he nodded, fixing his Scoops Ahoy hat. "Work, job, responsibilities."

She smiled up at him. "I'll be by later, I just want to see Dustin first. He's coming back from camp today."

"Tell the kid to come say hi to me, okay?" Steve told his girlfriend as he walked to the front door.

"Aye aye, Captain," she said, mockingly saluting him.

He shook his head, seriously considering ditching work and spending the day with her. "I love you, Kimmy."

"I love you too. Now go before you get yourself fired," Kim laughed, shoving him out the front door.

"Hey, Dust," Kim smiled, leaning against his door frame. "How was camp?"

"It was pretty good," Dustin smiled at his sister as he set his duffle bag down on his bed. "I met this girl and-" he cut off as a toy robot moved seemingly of its own accord out of his closet.

Kim tired not to laugh, knowing the real reason his things were starting to move out of his door. "Oh, my God. What's going on?" she asked, hoping she sounded convincing.
