Emma's pov:
My eyes flutter open to be instantly blinded by light. Sunlight, actually. I rub my eyes and see beautiful green fields passing by swiftly. I open my eyes wider and take in everything around. I'm in a car? With Hardin? How did I even get in here?
"Mornin" Hardin smirks when I look at him. He's driving one-handed. His hair looks messy as if he has been running his fingers furiously in it.
"Where are we? Its definitely not Mystic Falls." I ask trying to arrange my hair.
"Paris." He replies smiling like some freaking prince.
"What??!!!" I gasp loudly.
"Relax, sweetheart. That's not the reaction I was expecting." He tsks.
"Georgia."
"Georgia? No way. Why the hell?" I demand looking at him suspiciously.
"You see, I'm so fucking done with that dumb town of yours, decided to move away and build a wooden cabin for both of us here." He says letting out a girly squeal sarcastically.
"Seriously, Hardin?" I roll my eyes.
"Emma. Seriously. How ya feelin? There's no broken bones. I checked." He smirks.
I shake my head at him. "But my car...there was a man...I hit a man. But then he got up, and...who was that?"
"That's what I would like to know." He frowns looking straight ahead and as his grip on the steering wheel tightens, I stare at his veins there for some moments.
"Where is my phone?" I question searching through my pockets. "OK. We really need to go back. Nobody knows where I am. Pull over." I demand but Hardin ignores me and keeps driving.
"Hardin, Pull over! Stop the car!"
"Ugh, you were so much more fun when you were asleep." He rolls his eyes, finally pulling over. I open the door getting out of the car.
I groan and lean over the car not feeling well. Suddenly Hardin has his hand on my shoulder. I look up to see worry in his eyes.
"I'm fine." I tell him smiling a bit. I could feel my head clearing up. No pounding anymore. "We have to go back." I say after a beat.
"Oh come on. Look. We've already come this far..." Hardin pouts taking a step closer to me.
"Why are you doing this? I can't be in Georgia. I wrecked my car. I have to go home." I frown and cross my arms. "This is kidnapping!"
"That's a little melodramatic, don't you think?" Hardin smirks brushing away a hair strand flapping on my face.
"Ha ha, very funny." I fake a smile mockingly. "But I'm not going to Georgia."
Just then I hear a phone ringing coming from Hardin and he tries to ignore it.
"That's my phone, you creep!" I glare at him. He sighs and pulls the phone out of his pocket. He looks at the caller ID and smirks.
"Your Governess is calling." He snorts and holds up the phone to me.
I instantly shake my head not wanting to talk to Elena. Hardin shrugs and takes it.
"Emma's phone..."
I walk away not interested in listening to their conversation. Hardin talks for a while before hanging up, strolling up to me.
"Let's go Emmy, we're almost there."
"Where is there?!" I ask him sighing.
"A little place right outside of Atlanta."
