The sun was high in the sky and it was a beautiful time to set up a picnic. The breeze was cool as it sent whispers to the trees.

A young man was sitting peacefully under a the shade of a huge mahogany tree. He was too busy writing down on his notebook to even take notice of the people around him. "Aiyo, mister Xiao Zhan, please head back inside. It's time for lunch." A lady wearing white clothes who had her hair tied to a bun said as she interrupted the man who was mention earlier. "Ah, miss Li? I'll follow after. I'm waiting for someone," the man now named Xiao Zhan smiled as he looked at the woman infront of him. "But mister Xiao will get angry-"

The man chuckled as he waved his hand lazily at her. "I'll handle father, don't worry." The lady couldn't retort any longer as she excuse herself and puts down a small basket beside him. Afterwards, she was immediately out of sight.

Xiao Zhan hums a tune as he opened his notebook once again and continued writing down. Not long after, he finally noticed another person's presence beside him. "You could've said something if you were there," he laughed as he completely gives up from his writing and settles the notebook down. "How could I? You were busy writing something. I don't want to disturb you," the other man replied as he sat down beside Xiao Zhan.

"Haha, you're never a disturbance, Yibo,"  Xiao Zhan said softly as leaned on the tree behind him. "Oh really? I heard you telling me for a lot of times that I'm annoying," Yibo said as he smirked at Xiao Zhan. The latter rolled his eyes playfully and changed the subject,"Where have you been? I've been lonely."

"I was just gone for a few minutes," the younger looking man said with his deep voice echoing in Xiao Zhan's ears. "I told you, I went to check on something. Plus, won't your father get angry if you talk to me?"

"Tsk, it's not like you're an intruder. I gave you permission to be inside the house," Xiao Zhan said with a huff as he crossed his arms. "You'll get scolded for this, Zhan-ge. I bet you didn't even eat lunch yet." Yibo frowned at the other. Without waiting for the Xiao Zhan's reply, he takes the basket and opens it. "See? Miss Li prepared lunch for you again. She knew you don't want to go inside."

Xiao Zhan giggled slightly as he saw the furrowed eyebrows of Yibo and touched them. The said man was a bit startled but didn't move away from the older's touch. "You've been frowning too much these days."

"Because a certain someone isn't taking good care of themselves!" The younger scolded as he takes out the neatly wrapped lunch in a lunchbox. "Aiyo, I'm taking good care of myself, Bo-di," he sang his words as he faced Wang Yibo.

"Really? You don't listen to anyone but me," Wang Yibo opened the lunchbox and beckoned Xiao Zhan to eat. "Aren't you gonna eat, too?" The older man took a clean spoon and started eating the sweet roasted meat with rice. "I'm quite full. I ate before coming here," Wang Yibo politely declined as he watched Xiao Zhan eating with his cheeks full like a pufferfish. He smiled at the sight as he wipes the corner of Xiao Zhan's mouth with a tissue. Xiao Zhan gulped the food and said, "Eh, isn't these your favourite food?"

"Too full to eat the moment, you finish them."

"All right, but tell me if you get hungry, okay?" Wang Yibo hummed a reply as rested his head at the tree bark. It was the usual peaceful day and the chirping of birds could be heard not too far from them.

When Xiao Zhan finished eating, the two of them continued to chat and laughed as they talk about random things or reminiscing the past. Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo were childhood friends, they were hard to separate and eventually, the time came where they couldn't live without each other. Wang Yibo came from a common family while Xiao Zhan was from a family of rich people. Their family owned one of the biggest hospitals in China. Even though they have different backgrounds, that didn't stop them from loving the other.
