4. Papa Bear

After two days off from work, Kyoko was itching to go back to work so she put on her hero uniform and went to her agency. When she got there, there was a bit of a buzz going on around her she could feel it. She needed to talk to Endeavor about more routes she could do. She found Endeavor in the break room but she also saw her dad in his old hero suit talking to Endeavor.

"Dad?" Kyoko approached her dad with a smile

Her dad looked at her and his face lit up, "Kyoko! My beautiful daughter,"

She walked up to dad and hugged him, "What are you doing here? Why are you wearing your old suit?"

"I wanted to see how you were doing here. It's been a week since you've been back and you haven't told me anything about it."

Kyoko let her dad go and smiled nervously at him, "I'm very sorry, Dad. You know being a hero is a very busy job. I keep forgetting to call you and Mom all the time."

"Oh, I know sweetie, I'm not mad about that or anything. I just want to see my Pro-Hero daughter at work."

Kyoko smiled, she looked at Endeavor and frowned at him. "I still don't like you."

Her dad gasped, "But honey, that's Uncle Endeavor."

"Do you know what he called me on my first day? A child! He called me a child!"

Her dad looked at Endeavor with a smile, "As you can tell, she gets offended easily."

Endeavor smiled as well, "Yeah, she called me an old man and threatened to leave the agency."

Her dad laughed, "Yep, that's something Kyoko would say."

Without looking at Endeavor, she asked for some more work. He gladly gave Kyoko more work, he appreciated that she wanted to do more. She nodded at Endeavor and looked at her dad.

"Are you going to be staying here all day?" 

"Yep! I get to see my little girl in action," Her dad squealed like a little girl

"I'm glad you want to see me in action but can you not be, you know, like my dad here?"

"Huh? What do you mean pumpkin?"

"Dad, you tend to overreact when other people are interacting with me. You go papa bear all the damn time." 

"But you're my baby bear, I need to protect you at all costs."

"You literally don't need to. I'm a Pro now! Just don't do it here, ok?"

Her dad pouted, "Fine! At this moment, I'm not your dad. I'm a hero."

"You're retired dad,"

"Don't remind me!"

Kyoko laughed and told her dad about her week at her agency and what she's been doing. Kyoko and her dad decided to walk around the agency and talk more. Her dad use to go to the same agency as her with Endeavor when they became Pros. He was the number three hero and he's been in the spot for years until he retired four years ago. As they walked around, lots of heroes saw them. Kyoko's dad was feared among everyone, he was even scarier than Endeavor in his time. Even though Kyoko was with him, he always kept his serious, scary face on. She was used him being scary.

Kyoko and her dad made it to the agency's lunch room, where some heroes at lunch with others. Shiro was in there eating a sandwich. He saw Kyoko and her dad and went up to them.

"Hi Mr. Togawa,"

"Shiro, my boy! It's so good to see you. I always told you to call me dad."

"I know, I don't think it's appropriate to call my best friend's dad my dad as well,"
