An ancient one is someone chosen at random by the god of the ancient ones. An ancient one can look like everything, it might even be an object that upon chosen gets a will of its own. An ancient one can be unaware of being an ancient one, it is up to them to discover their purpose.
Upon being chosen you will gain special powers depending on the type of person you are and how many potiential you will have. One thing is certain and that is that you will be unable to die when becoming an ancient one.
Ancients ones are also able to read, understand and speak the language of the ancient ones.
Ancients ones are created to reform and rebuild the universe they live in. The changes they make have to live up to the expectations of the god of the ancient ones or else the god of the ancient ones may become enraged and unsatisfied and destory the complete universe along with all beings living in this universe.
No one exactly knows where the god of the ancient ones comes from and how they were created, but it has been confirmed that many created ancient ones tried overpowering the god only to be completely obliterated by them.
