BLORTHOG: okay, so today, January 10th, is the ten year anniversary of the episode "How Long Is Forever". Incase you don't know, this is the episode where Starfire travels into the future to find that the team is broken up, and all of this starts with the Titans not celebrating a Tameranean tradition. This tradition is the festival of friendship to prevent the splitting apart of friends. There are necklaces with white beads that are exchanged between friends to celebrate.

(author) REMINDER that these chapters are not sequential, and in some chapters Beast Boy and Raven might be dating and others not. This chapter will have time logs, but in no one's POV. This will also be a lot about the whole team rather than just Beast Boy and Raven, but don't worry I have some fluffiness at the end for youu. -Will

12:00 am January 10th (midnight)
It was particularly peaceful in Titan's tower. All of the titans were sleeping, except for one. It had been a long day fighting crime. Nothing really special, maybe Wednesdays were just good days for bank robberies and terrorizing children on playgrounds, but they didn't get home until a half an hour before midnight.

(flashback to in the car. 11:15 pm January 9th)
The car was quiet. Raven, Beast Boy, and Starfire sat in the back seat, Robin shot gun and Cyborg driving, as usual. Cyborg and Robin would have been talking about their performance in battle, if Starfire and Beast Boy weren't sleeping in the back.
It's funny, Beast Boy usually is bouncing off the walls at all hours of the night, but he fell asleep the moment they began driving. Raven was also tired, but never dared to let her guard down in front of her friends. She simply stared out the window.
When they finally got home, Raven was given the task of levitating Starfire and Beast Boy back to there rooms without waking them.
"Great." Raven mumbled sarcastically when Robin gave her this order.

(flashback over. midnight again)
All of the titans were asleep except one. Starfire. She sat in her bed, stringing white, spherical beads onto string. One after the other, until there were several necklaces of the white beads. "Ohh, I am the most excited!" She whispered into the dark room, her words hanging in the air.

9:00 a.m. January 10th
"Good morning everyone!" Starfire shouted as she burst through the living room door with the necklaces in her hands.
To her surprise, no one was celebrating anything. "Morning Star." Robin said as he quickly tried to make sure he looked good by checking his reflection in the window.
"Hey." "Morning." Cyborg and Beast Boy replied mindlessly, for they were busy fighting over whether they were going to have tofu eggs or bacon for breakfast.
The alien girl waved the necklaces I the air. "Look what I have!"
No reply. Robin continues to watch the news, the two other boys kept fighting, and Raven sipped her tea and flipped through her book, mumbling something about forgetting what page she was on.
"FRIENDS?" She yelled. Everyone froze, and Robin shut off the tv. "Did you not remember? I thought surely that you would not forget after the events that occurred last year on this day." The poor girl was on the verge of tears. Nobody had any idea what to say.

Suddenly, "Happy Blorthog, Starfire." Raven gave Starfire the smallest smile.

"Ohh Raven you remembered?" She took Raven into a tight hug.

"Of course I did. You talk about it nonstop, you put it on my calendar-" But Raven was cut off.

"You have a calendar, Rae Rae?"

"I do now. She bought me one just so she could write down when Blorthog was. AND she wrote this on my hand." She pointed to the palm of her hand which read 'tomorrow is Blorthog!'

"I have been up all night preparing for this glorious day! I suppose this is what the earth teens call the 'obsession'?"

"Yes Starfire. Yes it is." Cyborg walked over to her and gently took one of the necklaces. "But if this means a lot to you then let's celebrate!"

And celebrate they did. Starfire taught them different Blorthog rituals from Tameran. The most important one was the bestowing of the necklaces. All five teens sat in a circle on the ground, equidistant from each other. Starfire then gave them each 4 necklaces, 1 for each of the other titans. When they exchanged necklaces, they said "I value our friendship", just like Starfire had told them to. They danced, and listened to Starfire's Tameranean folk tales, and to finish off the night, an enormous feast completely prepared by Starfire.

7:00 p.m. January 10th
"Gosh Star that was..... so much food."
"Yum!"
"Thank you Starfire. That was.. nice."
"Star, you got some mad cookin' skills!"
Music to her ears.

Raven decided she had participated enough, the group already started to disperse anyway, and pulled her hood up. "I'm going to the roof to meditate." Just like that she flew up to the roof. Sure it was a bit chilly, but Jump City never gets too cold. It is usual for there to be no snow during the winter. This year was no different.
The sun was setting over the horizon. She sat on the edge of the roof, her legs dangling. Truthfully, she hadn't come up here to meditate. She just needed time to think. Raven enjoyed the celebration today.
She didn't even realize that she was subconsciously playing with the beads around her neck.
"Hey."
She whipped her head around, to see Beast Boy approaching her. "Oh. Beast boy."
"I scaaared you Ravenn."
"You did not."
"Denial isn't just a river in Iowa, Rae Rae."
"The Nile River is in Egypt not Iowa, Idiot. And I didn't get scared, I got startled. And I am sitting in the edge of a tall building, not the best place for surprise visits."
"Sorry.. I didn't come up here to scare you though Raven, that was just a bonus hehe. I actually just wanted to talk."
"To me?"
"You're my friend, Raven. I can talk to you right?"
"Um.. yeah. Why the sudden outburst of friendliness? I know we are friends but you have never wanted to hang out with just me."
"You are the smartest person on the team Raven, you give the best advice. And no matter what anyone says, you ARE fun."
Raven felt her face warm up, luckily her hood was up so he couldn't see her blushing. "Beast Boy, that um.. means a lot to me, that you really think that. Thank you."
"Hey mama, it's what Blorthog is all about!" The green teen grinned and nudged her playfully.
"Speaking of, all these necklaces are suffocating me."
"Me too. I think they are too small to wear around your neck... maybe they could be like head bands.. or crowns! like this!" He then pulled down Raven's hood took a necklace off his neck and placed it on her head like a crown. "See? You look just like princess. UH I mean.. I uh.."
Instead of letting him be embarrassed about his last remark, she placed one of her's on HIS head. "So do you, Beast Boy." And for the first time in a long time, she laughed right out loud without even trying to hold it back.

For the next 4 hours, they could be found on the roof chatting about missions and Robin and Starfire (they both ship it- who doesn't?), and wondering exactly what shade of green Beast Boy is, all while wearing necklaces on their heads.
