Chapter 2

Him.
I guess you could say me and my 'bros' did some stupid stuff. Well more like they convinced me to do stupid stuff with them, and of course take the blame.

I know I've never truly belonged.
This new idea that they, it's illegal and stupid. I mean it's the morgue! But instead of being smart I just nodded my head and followed.

I guess they just want to snap some pics of dead bodies or something.

It's 10 o'clock and the morgue has been closed for two hours, we snap on latex gloves as Brent picked the lock.

It's a family business so no cameras.
We close the door behind our group, the smell of perfumed death hits us in a wave as we descend down the basement stairs.

Her.
The lights flicker on.
Of course I can't see them but I know that their on and that people are coming. I don't feel much. I do feel their prescience however.

Him.
The guys laugh and I stay silent, they crack jokes. Damien seems interested in their names. The fallen. The master mind- Brent- decides he's ready to observe the body's.

One by one they unlatch the metal hinges and slide body's out. I'm not sure what exactly their looking for but the skip everyone that has already been dissected.

Then they open up one, a girl, I recognize from the news article. She's beautiful and less dead than the old people and OD victims.

Brody and Brent smirk. ?.
They pull the sheet lower down, she's naked but nothing shows.

Brent holds a sharpie.

"We should go to her funeral, I heard its tomorrow" he says.
"Why?" I ask.
"Show some respect" Brody pipes in.

I nod.
I watch her face.
Her head lulls and her eyes blink open.
I do a little yell and trip.

"What? Are you scared..." Damien says.
"No sorry I- I thought she blinked, I'm just seeing things" I say.
Her eyes are closed.
Brody snorts, "the bitch is as dead as a door nail, watch" he picks up a scalpel and drags it at the side of her neck.
"Okay okay I get it" I say.

We decide to leave after that, wouldn't want to get caught in a small town like this.

My head spins as I try to sleep.
I just can't get her blue eyes out of my head.
