Scattered Thoughts

🍍Chapter One🍍

     Twilight knows that her eggs are hatching. Her claws are twitching with anticipation as she tries to get to her eggs before they hatch.

     When she gets to the Nightwing hatchery the moons are shining through the skylight, the three moons are full. Her eggs are in the middle of the hatchery.

     They are silver and they looked weird compared to the others. All the other eggs were black, just black, no silver. She goes to her eggs and sees a crack in the biggest one, it is hatching now.

     She sits down beside her eggs, another crack then it splinters open, three dragonets are huddled together inside. She looks at her other egg and it shatters open before her eyes, it is a boy.

     She names the boy Timetracker, she names her biggest girl Jewelkeeper, she names the one in the middle Trustwinner and the smallest female Brighteyes.

     Then all of a sudden Trustwinner disappears into thin air and then she is on the right of her mom's back. That is weird, Twilight thinks.

     Twilight doesn't know any Nightwings who can teleport, definitely not any related to her or Lifebringer.

     Twilight puts Brighteyes on her back along with Trustwinner. She then puts Jewelkeeper and Timetracker each on one of her wings.

     After about five minutes of walking towards her hut, Trustwinner and Brigtheyes fall asleep. Twilight starts to sing so the other two will fall asleep.

     "It's fine don't worry mama's got you. Don't worry my dragonet. You're safe in mama's arms. Little one go to sleep tonight." Twilight sings this a couple of times and finally, Jewelkeeper and Timetracker are asleep.

     When she got in her hut Twilight lays her children down on a wide fur blanket. She then notices that the triplets all have silver scales between their eyes.

     Jewelkeeper has silver scales beside her eyes, and around her neck, Trustwinner has silver scales on her ears and Brighteyes has silver scales around her ankle. Timetracker has a silver scale beside each eye.

     She has only seen one dragon with silver scales beside her eyes: Moonwatcher.

     I will ask Moonwatcher in the morning why they have silver scales also. But right now I'm going to sleep. I will worry about that in the morning.

The Next Morning

     When Twilight wakes up she has two little dragonets on top of her and two gnawing on her tail.

     Twilight picks up the two on top of her and lays them down beside her. She sits up and picks up the two attacking her tail and puts them down.

     She asks "Why don't we go for a walk?" and her dragonets follow her to the door.

     When she steps outside two Rainwings are standing there.

     One says "You need to go to the royal pavilion with your dragonets to see Queen Glory. Thank you. Bye." After stating this they fly away.

     Okay then. Moonwatcher will have to wait. Twilight turns to her dragonets and tells them "I need Brighteyes, and Jewelkeeper to get on my back and I will carry Timetracker and Trustwinner in my claws."

     Brighteyes and Jewelkeeper are already climbing up her tail when she picks up the other two. When she takes off she feels two pairs of claws dig into her back. It feels oddly comfortable. She shrugs off the thought and keeps flying.

     When they arrive Brighteyes and Jewelkeeper slide off her back. And she puts down Timetracker and Trustwinner. Twilight walks inside and her dragonets follow in a straight line. It is really cute.

     Queen Glory speaks up "I have heard that you have four dragonets that you have to take care of. Do you want me to get a mate for you or do you want to live in the castle with me, Deathbringer, Jambu, and Invisible. Where is Invisible? Invisible, come out you!"

     "Yes, mama," says a little dragonet. "This is Invisible, my daughter. Hybrid of rain and night. Deathbringer is the father, my husband. So let's get on with it, which one." Queen Glory explains.

     Twilight says" It would be an honor to live in the palace."

     "Pineapple, Speckles, Shimmer, Vine, Paradise, Toucan, Snake, Dreamcreeper, Moonlight, Eager, Glamorous, Canopy, and Leopard will get a couple of rooms ready for them." Queen Glory says "And I'd like to show you and your little dragonets around the palace if you would like."

     "Your highness you probably have business to do. You don't have-" Twilight begins "I do not. I took everything off my list today once I heard." Queen Glory interrupted.

     "Your highness, since my dragonets are living in the palace, could they call you their aunt?" Twilight asks.

     "Of course they can. Your boy, what's his name?" Glory asks. "Timetracker" Twilight answers

     "Oh yeah Timetracker, I want him to become a guard by ten." Glory says. "Of course, your highness." Twilight answers.
