Jude's mother called out for him continuously. He has probably gone out to play that football I keep warning him about. I don't know how many times I would warn him against it. She said to herself.
Jude was 13 years old and he lived with his mother in a small village. His parents were not exactly the richest but they were very content people and they tried to give Jude the best to their ability.
Jude did not necessarily care about education as much as his parents wanted him to and that worried his mother most especially. He was her only child and she wanted the best for him.
Jude's father had died 3 years ago after he fell on his back from a tree and lost his balance.
He was too young to feel much pain so unlike his mother, it wasn't so hard for him.
However, Jude was quite mature for his age and he always saw a bright future ahead of him. He always tried in the little ways he could to look out for his mother even when she asked him not to.
She cared so much for him and always wanted the best for him. Her greatest fear was losing him which made her a bit overprotective.
Jude on the other hand always found his way around.
He had always loved to play football even when his mother warned him not to.
His dream was to go the big city one day and become a great and successful footballer. He was also very good at it and was the top among his peers that played with him.
One time, he played under the rain and fell so sick that it made his mother so worried till she fell sick too.
Since then, he wasn't allowed to play again. Though there were times he still escaped to do it.

It was getting really late and dark and his mother was worried so she decided to go out and search for him. And she was about to step out, she found him at the front door and gave her usual warnings and complaint but he wasn't really bothered by that. He told her not to worry. Nothing can happen to him.
Jude's mother laid awake that night wondering what exactly she could do to make him start listening to her. She knew she was getting old and always prayed she would stay alive long enough to take care of her only son.
He was the only thing that gave her hope to live.
Jude had two friends in the neighborhood he always played football with. They too had the same dream he had but they weren't as determined and passion driven as he was.
Jude had so much hope for his future. He promised himself to make his mother proud and take good care of her like the children in the city.
Not until his dream was taken from him.
His mother's light was taken from her.
Not until the whole world turned around for them...
