These were the heavy words that Madam Chioma Alison was using as a hauling stones at Adane a seven years old girl whose plight was from frying pan to fire.
Adane was born premature, this created a big heart break for her mother, Mrs. Gloria Smithson. Mrs. Gloria home had known no peace for good fourteen years, her mother in-law made life a closer hell for her "Until I hear the cry of a baby in this house there will be no peace for this empty calabash that is just consuming my son's sweat.." One of the horrific and deadly crisis Mrs Gloria endured before her prayers were partially answered.
Yeah partially because the child was not just a girl child but a premature. Still left uncare, Mrs Gloria left home one cold morning half nude and became a scavenger on the street. Her daughter Adane at an early age started living under different foester homes,from one relative to another experiencing also one horrible life to another.
Mr Smith was not getting better also, the women he married wrecked his life. He was tricked to will his property to his Elepe's wife. This was done by Chinaka who wanted a fifty - fifty deal of the will.He had on one occasion opened up to Chinaka that he had willed all his property to Chinaka.
He was owning the bank also, since nothing to pay the bank with he was arrested and charged to court, he died during his court case regretting his mistakes.
Adane's got to know the clearer picture about her background from Aunt Chinaka.The poor innocent girl had a long way to the kingdom of happiness. All her life experiences were painted with misery. She dreamt one night crying that her future was focused on three goals.
1.She vowed to taste and achieve that great educational passion of becoming the world greatest lawyer on earth.
2.Her mum's failing health was her major concern.
3. She prayed to make every child in her shoe have a fulfilled dream of reality. .
Would she be able to fulfill her dreams under what circumstances?????
