Episode 48: Let's Jamboree!

It's another normal morning at Emerald Town as the residents already awake and preparing to go over their regular activities like any other day. But there are a few who have yet to wake up as we converge towards the room of a duplex and inside we find Areion sprawled out of the bed as he snored away. Rays of sunlight powered through the gaps in the curtains and shone on Areion's face, finally arousing the seeping teen who sat up at the edge of his bed then let out a loud yawn with his arms outstretched.

"It's about time you woke up, I was wondering how long you were going to keep sleeping". Emerl said while reading a comic book about The Flash.

"Well good morning to you too Em, I can see you're snarky as ever." Areion did a a few light stretches to work the kinks out of his joints as he spoke.

"Whatever you say, now get out there. I just know that there's trouble waiting to happen and we're going to be in the thick of it."

Areion let out a groan "And you've just jinxed us at the very beginning of the day."

"What? I'm just stating the obvious , nothing ever goes normally in this world."

"...it still bugs me that I really can't deny that. And by the way, what were those upgrades for the armor again?"

Emerl typed on his keyboard as the screen showed blueprints of the Em-X armor before and after its upgrades "Okay, the armor now has 1,000,000 horsepower instead of the usual 100,000, that cool scarf you can use to strangle bad guys, and the belt buckle, better energy absorption, the ability to copy others by scanning them with the eyes like I can, and that thing on your crotch is gone. What was that anyway?"

Areion just let's out a small sigh as he went to the bathroom and looked at the mirror before opening his mouth to show the at his teeth are now shark like due to copying Vector's jaw.

Areion then poked on tooth a few times as his teeth went back to normal before grinning and went to take a nice hot bath then opened the closed to get his casual clothes but then saw his old gakuran uniform he wore when he first arrived in Sonic's world which is now fixed up and modified to tank more damage thanks to Honey and Emerl, the blazer now had the Ryuga clan symbol on the back in a lighter blue as well as the other copies thanks to her and Emerl before smiling and took it from the closet but decided to wearing the X-Bands and his pendant for last and checked his phone for any notifications and saw that there were a few messages from different companies with multiple offers but he deleted them with a roll of his eyes and a groan before putting the phone is his pocket. He's been getting these messages ever since the tournament and was finding it rather irritating since he has no intention for him and his armor form to be anyone's poster boy so they could boost their sales and whatnot.

Putting the headphones around his neck, Areion finally exited his room and descended down the stairs into the living room where he found Carol sprawled our on the sofa and lazily watching TV with Lilac sitting nearby reading a book. Kou and Yoru were playing in their beanbags till they saw Areion and flew over to sit on his shoulders whilst chirping happily.

"Mornin everyone." Areion called out, getting the attention of the two.

"Good morning Areion, I was wondering when you were going to wake up." Lilac said with a smile, she then noticed he was wearing different clothing "What's that your wearing."

"This is my old school uniform I wore before I met you, I wanted to wear it today since it's been a while, so what are you girls up to and where are Milla and Nicole?" Areion asked confusedly.

"Nicole's gone to Tails' lab to update the firmware of the S.A.C with Milla following after her." Carol let out a loud yawn and stretched like the feline she is much to the teen's amusement "As for me, I'm just laying around while letting the world pass me by. Don't know for Lilac though."
