PART 1

Custorians are powerful creatures created to protect the werekind. For centuries they have been secretly executing their tasks. They fight warlocks, hunters, rogues and most of all the Malignans whose main purpose in this world is to annihilate werewolves from existing. Flos agri a team of young ladies consist of Mari, the leader of the group and a rootless monster in the field, a Custorian warrior through and through. Ally is the Beta whose loyalty for the team and members of it cannot be measured and is the best friend of Mari. Sarah, the gifted spell binder. Anna the warrior princess and Chloe their soothsayer.

Mt. Celatum

Day of Assessment.

"I'm so happy for you Chloe" said Mari while hugging her friend.

"Are you sure I can leave the team? I mean I can still be your soothsayer even am faraway" Chloe said hugging back her Leader and friend.

"Nonsense" Mari cried" you are mated now and David will not let your attention be divided".

"But I will miss you guys. I don't know how to function without you girls, who will eye the future? How if something bad happen? If we cut our bonds I can't see your future! Nobody can warn you, is it possible to not cut the bond yet?" Chloe babbled.

"If we don't do it now we won't have any soothsayer until the next full moon and you know that that will be dangerous, don't worry about your replacement that's what the assessment day is for" countered Mari but she saw the change in the mood of her peer and friend, she hugged her once more and patted her back.

"No matter what, bonded or not, you are our sister and nothing can change that" Mari assured her friend. "I already sent a message to summon the girls then they can say their proper farewell to you." Mari let go of Chloe "Don't make David's life chaotic, ok?!?" she joked to lighten the mood.

Mari loves Chloe like a real sister, just like the other three remaining members of her team. Everyone wants to be a part of it; they are the best after all. They can protect the werewolves without being found out and has never failed an assignment. their team consist of her as the leader . Chloe the soothsayer who was her childhood friend back when she was still living with mundane and had no idea what or who custorians are. Sarah the Spell binder also known as the witch of the team also came from the same Custorian clan as them however Sarah knew what she was from early on since her powers needed to be trained as young as three years old. Anna a great fighter who saved her life once when she still didn't have her powers, when she was a teen, came from the supreme bloodline of loyal guards of the elder sisters, the original Custorian team that protects the werewolves from dark forces that wants to harm the race, and then Ally, she met Ally in a psych ward where they were both held and roomed next to each other, Ally shares her sentiment about mates. They both were rejected which caused them their sanity once upon a time.

Chloe was packing her things, she was preparing to leave and start her new life with her beloved David. Being a soothsayer of the best Custorian team and an alpha's mate does not mix well together. At first she feared the connection. She saw how her friends are still hurting even though they no longer remember their mates, she doesn't want to end up like them, though she loves Mari and Ally and she idolizes them for being amazing at what they do, she never wished to be like them, mate less and cold hearted toward other people who does not belong to their group or family. People fear them most especially if you add Sarah to the mix no one dares to sit next to them or even look at them openly. Everyone knows about the story of how Mari and Ally met how their experience turned them from sweet ladies to scary "Custorians" .

The door opened and she saw Anna, the best fighter of the team, though Anna is like a warrior, she is not in any way brusque more over she is soft spoken, well-mannered and is very beautiful, come to think about it they are all beautiful because of their bloodline but Anna's different from them, she does not share the same shade of hair that they all have. She has platinum blonde hair, just like all the supreme guards .Compared to Chloe's black hair, Mari's Light auburn hair and Ally and Sarah's brown hair, Anna stands out. Even her purple eyes make her unique. Anna walked towards her and gave her a box of her freshly baked cookies. "For the road" said Anna "I know you get hungry a lot".

The door opened once more and came in the rest of the team. Sarah carrying a basket full of charms and potions and lotions, Chloe guessed, looked irritated with something or someone. it turned out to be someone when Sarah approached her.

"take these" Sarah said handing out a basket full of precious stones and bottles of different sizes and shape " before Ally arbours everything" she looked at Ally and grumbled. "Everything has a label, use them wisely and if you need more just holler and I'll make more and send it to you". They kissed each other on the cheeks. Then Ally pranced around her making Sarah turn around and walk away. Sometimes she thinks that Ally has bi polar personality. she is very sweet and funny with them but with outsiders she is nothing but scary and mean and snobbish. "I talked to David" she said "I told him, even though he is an alpha his pack is still weak" Chloe made a face "hey! That weak pack you are referring to is my pack now" Ally shook her head as if Chloe did not get the point of her threat "I told him that if he ever leaves you I will haunt him down and you know the rest and oh! use Sarah's magical concoction if he does anything you don't approve of, ok" Ally winked,Chloe just smiled and shook her head she knows Ally did not mean anything wrong towards David. She is just trying to be... well Ally.

Mari watch them. her family, her team it will change now she thought. Seven years together, seven challenging years and now the dynamics of the team will be altered. even if it is breaking her heart she needs to let go of Chloe because Chloe has found her mate and even though she knows Chloe loves being the eye of the team, it still can't be compared with the love she feels for her mate, David, who she met while on a mission. Today will be their last day being part of one group. After this Chloe will be a part of another team, David's team. Mari sighed, she will never have that, hers has passed and she will never go back there again, for her having had a mate destroyed her and remembering something that cannot be remembered makes her feel even worse.

"Stop!" Ally scolded her "I know what you are thinking, just stop!" Mari smiled a sad smile, Ally knows her too well. "We can't remember them" she sighed "do you think we made the right choice when we allowed the elders to erase our memories? to erase our mates from our memories?" asked Mari while staring at Chloe. Somehow she envies her friend; she will have a partner that will share her soul forever. "Are you kidding me?" Ally said all jolliness gone "we were lunatics, held in a psychiatric hospital for crying out loud Mari!" Ally was starting to get pissed. "they left us remeber?now its just you and me, so stop this nonsense and lets just be happy for Chloe!" they both didn't say anything both consumed with their own thoughts.

Deciding to break the silence, Ally spoke "Have you heard?" she asked "heard what?" Mari said turning to Ally.

"The Malignans are getting bolder and braver, some are attacking packs openly, and I heard the elders are having a meeting about it as we speak." Ally answered matter of factly.

Mari knows Ally is just trying to distract her but the truth is the incident really is something they need to be worried about, Malignans' only goal is to kill werewolves, Rooted from the heart break of the first female who turned into Malignan, Zaraban, a witch who feel in love with a werewolf and was rejected because she does not possess power. For male werewolves having a strong mate is a great deal for it will amplify their powers and strength. Unfortunately for Zaraban she was mistaken for a mere human and at that time power and strength was needed for packs were in wars all the time. A human mate was a weakness so instead of claiming her, she got rejected. For months Zaraban chanted spells of healing but it never came the only thing that she got was a hollow heart that she desired to be filled. the wondering dark spirits heard her plea and entered her heart and that's how Malignans first came to be. Zaraban summoned evil entities to help her create havoc in small packs but now something has changed.
