Hanna pov

Emily came back upstairs looking like she had seen a ghost. Her face was pale, and she looked like she was screaming inside.

"Han, I have to go to the shops real quick. I'll let you stay here. Just keep my side warm. I'll be quick, babe." She said, and I nodded.

"Babe?" I asked, and she spun around at the door.

"Yeah?"

"You forgot to kiss me." I whined playfully, and she came back over to the bed and crawled over to kiss me passionately before leaving. So I guess I was left alone.

Emily pov

I climbed into the car and sat there, still as a statue. That's when she turned to me.

"I know you're waiting for an explanation, and I swear I'll give you one." She rushed to tell me, and I just looked straight ahead out of the window.

"I'm just trying to figure out if this is a dream or not." I said truthfully.

"It's not a dream. I'm really here. And I'm sorry, Em, I really am." She sounded sincere, but she was always playing games. Until she gave me an apologetic look, pulling on to a dark road.

"Okay, here goes. You know what happened that night. You guys are smart. You figured it out." She began, using her hands to explain things, something she did when she was nervous.

"Yeah, but why didn't you come back until now?" That stumped me. I wondered why Alison had never shown up, even though she was still alive.

"It wasn't safe. But it is now." She gave me a small smile, and it was as if nothing had happened. Like those two years I hadn't spent crying myself to sleep, avoiding her house and ignoring the flyers, papers, mention of her name.

So it was long overdue when I reached over, taking her face into my hands and pressed my lips against hers. She didn't push me away, which was weird. In fact, she kissed me with as much enthusiasm as I kissed her. In fact, maybe more.

And then I stopped.

I pushed her back, and then sat back in my seat.

"I'm sorry, Em. I know about Hanna but... I still love you. I loved you a lot. And I couldn't bear to leave you. Which is why I'm here. You were always my favorite, but I can't tell the girls I'm back. You're the only one who knows. And I need a place to stay. So please can I stay at yours?" Dhe practically begged, and I could tell she was trying her hardest not to cry right now.

I can't say I was that strong. I wiped the tears from my cheeks, and looked at her.

"Yeah, of course you can stay." I said, and she gave me a smile. She then leaned forward to kiss my cheek, but she lingered.

"Looks like I'll have to control myself around you." She whispered seductively in my ear. I shivered, knowing at one time I would have pulled her closer to me right now. Instead, I turned away and thought of Hanna.

"We should get back. I'll take Hanna home and then you can come in." I planned, as Alison started the car again. She drove back through Rosewood until she turned on to my street.

"Stop here. It wouldn't be good if anybody sees us." I said, and Ali obeyed me by pulling up at the end of the road. I climbed out, and jogged down to my house.

Hanna was in the living room, sat on the sofa waiting. She came towards me, wrapping her arms around my waist before kissing me. I deepened it, and soon her hands were on my ass.

"Han, I gotta drop you off. I've got some stuff to do with the house, and I need to call my mum and arrange things. But we can have a sleepover tomorrow?" I suggested, and she nodded. I led her outside, and we got into the car. I drove the other way around the street, so Hanna could definitely not see Ali.

Once at Hanna's house, we stood at the door. She turned to me and kissed me, before pulling back a little to study my face.

"Em, I love you." She said, and I felt myself swell with the overpowering love for this beautiful girl in front of me. So I kissed her, and only broke away for air.

"I love you more, Han." I promised, before we said goodnight. As I turned to walk back to the car, Hanna called out to me.

"Black lace looks good on you, babe!" I blushed, knowing I was wearing a black lace bra. So I stuck my middle finger up at her before she blew me a kiss.

I got back into the car, driving away slowly. I focused on the road, but my mind kept popping back from Hanna to Ali and back again. But what was I supposed to do? Ali was back. She had come back, and only I knew.

I turned on to my street again, and saw Ali's car was closer than it had been. I got out, locking up, and walked to my door, only to find Ali sat on the bench. She was holding herself, and shivering. I admit it was unseasonably cold, and so I let her inside quicker than normal. She smiled at me as I held open the door for her, and then she walked past me.

Dear god, Em, stop staring at her ass, you perv. God, she should stop wiggling her ass like that. She looks so perfect. I wonder what she's been doing. Has she been seeing anyone?

I shook my head to clear it before following Ali inside and closing the door securely behind me.
