School had been uneventful. With the Cullens absent on their 'hiking' trip I sat alone again. It wasn't as bad as I expected but I'd almost forgotten what it felt like to be completely ignored.
Now it was Saturday, which meant Edward was picking me up this morning for Port Angeles. My foot tapping on the hardwoods was the only sound throughout my entire house. Mom was on a rare Saturday call, and Dad was still asleep this early in the morning. We'd never decided on a time, so I just woke up like it was a school day.
My mind was moving as fast as my foot while I was deep in thought about my dream. I'd had a lot of time to mull it over and I was able to sketch out a semi-decent idea of what the two figures looked like and their pictures sat on my phone's camera roll.
The crunch of the gravel in my driveway alerted my senses. I got up and immediately headed to the front door. Opening it, I saw Edward getting out of his four door Volvo. In the front, I spotted the blonde head of Jasper in the passenger seat, and his pixie-like girlfriend in the backseat. They both sent a smile my way as Edward, using his super speed, appeared at my door.
I blinked in shock and glanced up and down his slim body.
"I hate that," I muttered.
He laughed and out of the corner of my eye I saw the other two vampires chuckle as well.
"Ready?" He asked and held out his hand.
I blushed and nodded, taking his outstretched hand. He clasped it to help me down the high step of my front door and then down the stairs of my porch. He let it go and the soft chill that his hand gave mine disapitated. The gloomy, humid atmosphere of Forks really made itself apparent with the absence of the vampire's coldness. I climbed into the backseat next to the bright and cheery Alice Cullen.
The pixie like Cullen sister immediately scooted next to me and outstretched her hand,
"Nice to see you against Astor," She said, flashing her pearly white teeth.
I returned her smile and shook her hand in front of me.
"So our plan was to hit up this gorgeous boutique and then a thrift store or two, and then get you some lunch and go from there?" She said, obviously asking for my thoughts.
"Sounds fun," I replied grinning.
She clapped excitedly and turned to her brothers,
"Let's go!" She exclaimed.
The two smiled and Edward hit the gas. They sped off into the morning at rapid speeds. The three vampires sat unbuckled, laying haphazardly in their seats, meanwhile I was there, seatbelt tightened completely and tightly gripping the plastic car door.
"We're not gonna crash, we're all phenomenal drivers," Edward commented glancing into his rearview.
"Yeah," I breathed out, still not letting go.
"If it makes you feel any better we're all significantly faster than a crashing car so the most you might get is some whiplash," Alice said sweetly.
"Lovely, really makes me feel better knowing my vampire friends will be fast enough to only give me whiplash in the event of a vehicular accident." I said, glancing in her direction.
She giggled and the rest of the way the three made idle chat, with Jasper sitting relatively quietly the entire time.

The chic boutique was a cute corner store in a large two story brick building. As soon as I entered I knew it wasn't quite my store. The intimidating prices kept me from even touching many of the clothes on their rack.
