Day 2- Tuesday Part 3-Picnic with Grandpa Forest

As Ash and Gladion wandered over, they noticed everyone was giving them funny looks. They looked at each other in confusion before looking down. Seeing their fingers intertwined, they quickly released each other, blushing hard. The girls and Pokémon giggled while Kukui, Rotom, Kiawe and Sophocles smirked.

"Ahem," Ash cleared his throat, trying to calm his thundering heart. "I promised Iris she could meet at least one dragon type native to Alola and the closest one is Grandpa Forest. So, we're going to have a picnic with Grandpa Forest now."

Mallow and Lana squealed happily at the idea of seeing dear Grandpa Forest again while Lillie, Kiawe and Sophocles lit up with excitement. Iris started to squeal as well.

"Whose Grandpa Forest?" Gladion asked curiously.

"A Drampa that lives in the forest," Rotom explained. "Ash, Lana, Mallow and I met it a little while ago."

"Wow, a Drampa," Gladion said in an impressed tone. "That's rare."

"Also seeing how Lillie, Kiawe, Sophocles didn't get to meet it last time," Mallow beamed. "It would be perfect."

"Okay," Kukui smiled. "Everyone, let's get on the Ride Pokémon and go visit Grandpa Forest."

"Alright!" Everyone cheered as they returned their Pokémon to their Pokeballs. As they did, Axew jumped into Iris's hair while Pikachu leapt to Ash's shoulder.

"You coming, Rotom?" Ash asked.

"Of course," Rotom beamed.

"Ash, may I ride Garchomp with you?" Iris asked hopefully as she and Ash walked over to Garchomp. "It would be great to practice for when my Gible evolves."

"Of course," Ash grinned as he climbed into Garchomp's saddle. Iris beamed as she quickly climbed up behind Ash, wrapping her arms around Ash's waist.

"Everyone ready?" Ash asked as everyone took their places on their Ride Pokémon.

"Ready!" Kukui called as he climbed onto Metang, standing behind Sophocles.

"Okay, lead the way, Lana and Mallow," Ash smiled. Nodding, Lana and Mallow nudged Flygon and Dragonair, encouraging them to start flying. With cries, the Ride Pokémon took to the skies with Mallow and Lana leading the way and Rotom happily flying alongside the group. As Gladion flew on Noivern, he gazed longingly at Ash on Garchomp. He wished Ash was flying with him instead or he was flying with Ash, holding him tight.

After a while, everyone landed in a clearing surrounded by trees filled with red berries. Rotom puffed.

"I'm going to go rest under a tree," it said before floated down and leaning against a tree, switching to power saving mode to get some energy back. Everyone nodded as they got off their Ride Pokémon. After thanking the Ride Pokémon and letting their partners out of their Pokéballs, everyone watched as Ash, Mallow and Lana started looking around.

"Grandpa Forest?" Lana called. "Are you here?"

"Drampa," Ash called. "We brought some friends to meet you."

"Drampa," Drampa said as he glided out from behind some bushes before settling in front of Ash, Lana and Mallow.

"Hi Grandpa Forest!" Mallow beamed as she and Lana threw their arms around Drampa's face while Ash smiled. Drampa purred, nuzzling the two girls briefly before looking at the new group of people and Pokémon with curiosity.

"Drampa?" Drampa asked, using his head to gesture to the group.

"Grandpa Forest," Mallow smiled. "These are our friends and our teacher. They didn't get to meet you last time."
