★-------- THE FOUR GIRLS walk down the hallway to get to their DADA class. As the three girls talked, Stephanie looked around feeling like it was really quiet.
"You good, Steph?" Alice asked as she noticed the youngest of the group be really quiet.
"Don't you guys realize that it's very peaceful and quiet?" Stephanie questioned as she looked at the three girls who also looked around.
"Now that you said it, where is Potter?" Marlene looked between them as they all realized Lily wasn't getting pestered by James.
Lily's face turned sour as she heard his name. "Who cares, we should enjoy this while he's gone." Lily said, They all nodded in agreement and continued walking. They arrived at their class and but once they entered they saw a smiling James at the door.
"Evans." He opened his arms for a hug but Lily dodged him and grabbed Marlene by the arm while mumbling incoherent words. Stephanie walked in behind them and smacked James across the head before joining the girls who stood opposite of the marauders.
They all stood there talking until Professor Ultrabird walked passed, everyone quieted down as he stood in front of the class.
"Hello, Class." He greeted
"Hello, Professor Ultrabird." Everyone mumbled.
"Today, We will learn about a very special charm. Does anyone know what a patronus is?" The class stayed silent, even Lily who normally loves answering questions.
Stephanie sighed before raising her hand, Ultrabird nodded at her to speak.
"Patronus is known to be an advanced kind of magic, the patronus is a defensive spell used to protect a witch or wizard against Dementors. Your patronus is also able to be a form of an animal."
"Good job, Rose. five points to gryffindor."
Stephanie smiled, feeling proud that actually was able to answer the question correctly. She heard a small good job from Lily making Stephanie smile more.
In the corner of her eye she saw James smirking at her, she turned to face him and saw him mouthing a good job. Stephanie missed the explanation of how to perform the spell but she felt confident enough on her skills. She watched as her fellow students weren't able to perform it except Sirius, whose patronus was a dog.
She watched in awe as his Patrouns ran around him, she looked up at Sirius who winked at her.
"Like what you see, Rose?" Sirius teased earning a small scoff from James but no one was able to hear it.
"You wish." Stephanie laughed before turning attention to Ultrabird.
"Your turn now, Potter." James walked forward with a small smirk, Stephanie scoffed as he watch the boy crack his knuckles before pointing his wand forwards and saying the words. Once he said it a stag bursted out pronouncing around the class before circling Stephanie then James. Stephanie watched in amaze as it lifted up it's head to look at her eyes. Stephanie could hear James clear his throat which made the stag look away from her eyes and chase Sirius's dog.
"Amazing job, Potter. Rose, your turn now." Stephanie sighed as she walked forward now, she pointed her wand as she thought of her happiest moments, her parents. She smiled as she thought of one she first got her Hogwarts letter and they threw a mini party for just them three.
"Expecto Patronum!." She said clearly making it firm. She heard a roar before the shape of a lioness came out. The lioness circled around Stephanie protectively, eyeing everyone carefully before roaring towards the marauders making everyone gasp including Stephanie. The lioness eyes soften when met eyes with James's stag but it's eyes quickly turned back to it's fierst eyes.
A victorious smile spread over Stephanie's face as she moved back to her spot beside Alice. She looked up and saw the four boys watching her lioness and amaze as it slowly disappeared. She heard a small wow come from Sirius which made her giggle.
"I didn't know you could do that." Alice whispered as she also looked in awe.
"I didn't either." Stephanie whispered back.
"Rose!" Stephanie heard as she entered the common room. She saw the four boys sitting on the couches just like the previous night.
"Yeah." She walked towards them and dropped her books on the table before sitting next to James who this time sat on the bigger couch. Remus handed her the map that still looked the exactly the same, she raised her eyebrows confused as to what she needed to do with it.
"We charmed it, give it a try." Remus motioned she nodded, grabbing her wand out of her robe.
"I solemnly swear that I am up to no good." She tapped her wand against the parchment. She gasped as she read the map. Moony,wormtail, Padfoot, Prongs and Lioness. She looked up from the map and met the eyes of the boys who were watching her waiting for reaction.
"Can't believe you guys actually put me on here." Stephanie said as she looked back down here.
"We weren't lying when we said you were part of us."
"We finished it just today, and since that amazing patronus you casted we knew you belonged in our group." Sirius added. Suddenly Stephanie engulfed them in a big group hug.
"Thank you guys." Stephanie mumbled making the boys hug her tighter.
