Chapter 4: New Beginning

Angeline's P.O.V

"Is everything fine, Miss?" the flight attendant asked politely.

"Yes, I'm fine. Thank you," I smiled and she continues serving the other passengers.

The duration is more than 12 hours. Trust me, I don't really like long flights. The plane flew of at about 2.15 p.m. I will be flying to Singapore first to take a bigger plane to New York. It would be great if Malaysia have a big airplane enough to fly to New York City.

It wasn't long until I reached Singapore. I got out of the plane and proceed to the check-in counter to get the boarding passes. Apparently, I am gonna have to wait for about an hour for the next plane which is at 5.30 p.m. I sat on the bench nearby. Even if the flight took only 45 minutes, I still am tired. The pressure in my ear that I always get while taking a plane is starting to fade. I lay my back on the bench while my phone beeped in my bag. I took it out finding one of my friend, Amy who sent me a text.

Amy:

Hi, Angeline :) you must be on your way to New York now. Sorry, I can't make it to the airport for the surprise. Have a save journey!

I smiled and texted back.

Angeline:

Hey, Amy!!! It's okay, I know you are having some problems back home...send my regards to your mom and dad :) I will sure have a save journey! Anyway, I am in Singapore now...I have to wait for about an hour for the next flight directly to New York :D

Before I put my phone down, it beeped again.

Amy:

Thank you so much for understanding :) have fun in New York :) I wish you all the best in your new career.

I chuckled at the text when she said "new career". Oh great.

Angeline:

No problem, Amy! Thanks for the wishes! I will miss you :')

Then, my phone beeped again.

Amy: I will miss you too!!!

I decided to walk around and explore Changi Airport. It was a very nicely decorated for Christmas. The huge Christmas tree was about 12 feet tall and it is placed right in the middle of the airport. Ornaments was hung neatly on the tree and ribbons which are the size of your palm was tied on the branches. And at the top was a gigantic star. It was so beautiful. Malaysia never decorate their streets for Christmas but Singapore have all the streets light up and malls stunningly decorated before Christmas. When the day turns dark, the Christmas lights will be lightning up the city. This is one of the reasons why tourists love visiting Singapore.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome aboard. You are on flight ASD472 from Singapore to New York City..." one of the flight attendant started announcing.

I fasten my seat belt on and look at my watch. Yes! It is now 5.45 p.m. Ladies and gentlemen, I am now on my road to New York City. United States has always been one of the places that I dream of going. I cannot wait to place my very first step on New York City!

The journey there is going to be long and tiring. It is going to take me about 18 hours and 30 minutes. Basically, I will reach New York on Monday, 12.15 a.m based on Malaysia but it will be a Sunday, 11.15 a.m based on New York. Good thing is, I earned an extra day. Haha!

It was already 12.45 a.m and I am starting to get a little worn out. I took out my phone out and log in to twitter. I wanted to see if the One Direction members tweeted anything. Hold on, hold on, I am not a stalker but it is something that I treasured of.
