Chapter 11-Reunion

Throughout history, humans have been at odds with Beastmen
a species capable of changing shape due to their genetic "Beast Factor." Because of this conflict, Beastmen have been forced into hiding. Anima City serves as a safe haven for these oppressed individuals to live free from human interference.
But things had to change and the mayor sought just that,She wanted Humans and beastmen to live together in peace and prosperity but a lot of humans didn't approve of such thing,fortunately some did and were even ready to cooperate.

We were at Mayor Rose's Office, for an important announcement or at least i hoped it was since we woke up very early and I was barely able to stand still if it weren't for Shirou holding me in place.
Mayor rose then came into her office and sat on her chair "Sorry I'm a little late, I was at my favorite cafe."
"You called us here for an announcement." Shirou cut straight to the point."Ah Yes,Today we will be welcoming our first official group of humans who are ready to live among us!"
What she said snapped most of the tiredness off my head.

 "Humans? like actual humans?"Michiru asks."Indeed"Mayor responds with a smile on her face
"Great, and what does that have to do with us?"Shirou says obviously annoyed."Simple, they will be coming in small groups each on boats and all i want you to do is make sure nothing goes wrong and that they get a safe and warm welcome"
I was very excited to meet some new people who don't hate beastmen for a change.
Just the thought of it made me scream in excitement 
"Would you Man up a bit"Shirou sighs."Can't you let me have this?"I assert forcefully giving him a slight punch to the shoulder. Meanwhile michiru giggling in a corner.

We Stood by the docks waiting for the boats to arrive the three of us yawning by the minute
" *Yawn* Can't we just take turns so all of us can get a bit of sleep whilst one watches"i suggested deserately."No the mayor intrusted us with this,failing this isn't an option" 
"Hey I'm just a guy with simple needs,besides its surprising that you agreed to this.You know,considering we are welcoming humans and all?"
"Well i can't just say no to the Mayor". "Sure you can,you say no to me most of the time" I teased.
"Hey Guys! LOOK !"Michiru yells pointing at the boats closing in.by the looks of it there were 4 of them."finally" Shirou rubs an eye.

After the boats settled in groups of people came down making their way off the docks.i greeted them one by one guiding them and doing basic safety procedures .
Shirou switched to his Beast form inspecting and trying to track any suspicious or dangerous belongings and although it didn't seem like the most welcoming move a lot of the people were just excited they met a beastman in person and upclose as some swarmed Shirou with questions and i could tell he was getting uncomfortable which i thought was hilarious.
Michiru was just communicating and having small talks with the humans so they don't get shy when having conversations with beastmen.

And just as i was trying to help Shirou with his situation i suddenly feel a hand on my shoulder which made me turn around only to reveal: "Mihiro?!" "*GASP*LYLA?!"
"Aaaaaaaahhhh" we both screamed at the sight of eachother and hugged eachother tightly getting looks from everyone.

"Oh my gosh Dude you're alive! I-i wasnt sure,Where have you been?? I missed you sooo much!"Stuttering in lack of words she hugged me even more."I missed you too Lyla i couldn't contact you before because of a stupid firewall and bypassing it is illegal, i'll fill you in later but for now I'm just so glad to see you!"

"Soooo are you gonna introduce us?" Michiru asked standing alongside Shirou."Oh right! guys Meet Lyla a really good friend of mine,Lyla this is Ogami Shirou and Kagemori Michiru they are very nice people who helped me out a lot the first time i got here and still do to this day!"

"Its nice to meet you guys!" She greeted "Nice to meet you too!"Michiru greeted back "Pleasure." Shirou muttered.
"We still have some work to do"Shirou looked at me."Oh right.Lyla how about you settle in for now,we'll talk when i finish alright?"
"alrighty but i want the full story when you're done"

After We finished with the welcoming i helped Lyla move in into her apartment which was in a building close to city hall.she really didn't want to miss out on any action.
"So how about you show your best friend around town?" "wait like,right now?"
"Yes right now! I wanna make most of today with my buddy Mihiro"
"alriiight but i gotta be home by 7 though,for dinner." "Right Right You got it, now let's get this party starteeeeeed"she yelled in excitement.

First We checked out The arcade where we played DDR (Dance Dance Revolution or dance machine for short) "Top Score!"She yells making other people eye us "*Pant* yeah that was crazy"

Then we entered A fire bulr Competition "CHUG! CHUG! CHUG!" i can hear Lyla cheering me on. "We have a WINNER!,congrats boy you won Fire bulr for life!"
"i think I'm gonna be sick."

And after an hour of throwing up in the public restrooms we finally sat and talked.
"*Sigh* this was the best night ever i really missed having you around!" she exclaimed. "Me too but i never knew you liked doing these things you're usually stuck reading books" I joked.
 "Hey just because i always read doesn't mean i have no inner need for partying" she protested."Right.."i smugged."Now that we got that mushy sh*t out of the way. how is your inner beastman coming along?"

"Well i can only transform some parts thanks to some training with Shirou and some tests but hey its a start i guess.." "Oh yeah, that Shirou guy. is he your boyfriend?"She teased.
My face lights Tomato red "WHAT?! no no no he is not my boyfriend we are just friends why does everybody keep saying that." I assert "Oh really? he is certainly a catch though."she shrugs.

"Pfft i doubt someone as "Catchy" as him would want anything to do with someone like me.Besides i don't think he is interested in relationships let alone gay ones"i said with a frown on my face. She puts on her mad face and starts mumbling: "Ugh Mihiro this is exactly why you have confidence issues you keep selling yourself out and that's not even modesty at this point.you're like the nicest and coolest guy I've ever met.Period!"

"Oh wow i uhh..Thanks i needed that.but I'm still not planning on telling him, ill take things slowly and find out more about him and then ill see where things go from there alright?"
"Suit yourself,Oh clock is ticking you better hurry up or you'll miss dinner oh and here is my number so you have no excuse not to text me"

"Oh no your right! I uh...better get going!cya later!"

I ran as fast as i could  back to the co-op thankfully that DDR workout prepared me for the long run.
I look at my watch before opening the door 7:02 PM hey thats not bad. 

i open the door to everyone seated ready for dinner."Hey Mihiro you're back!"Michiru greets
"Yeah, why do you look surprised?" "We thought you were gonna stay with that friend of yours." Shirou says taking a spoonful of rice.
"I mean i know she is my best friend but you guys are still just as important to me too"
Shirou gave a lip tilt after swallowing down the food and machiru smiled widely.
 "well isn't this sweet?come join us"Melissa invited happilly.
"So what did you guys do?"Gem asks intrigued.
 
"Oh we just had fun,did a couple crazy activities and talked.Nothing you should worry about-"
*Knock Knock*
"Delivery For Mihiro Akido."a voice behind the door says.

"aaaand i might have won a life time supply of Fire bulr" i scratch my head laughing nervously. 
"you're drinking all of it" Shirou orders.

*Gulp*

Hey there Animacitizens i hope you enjoyed this chapter i looked back a lot at it and had some "delete" moments here and there but overall im happy with how it came out if you got any suggestions feel free to put them in the comments i do read them!
