I met them at the station. They were looking at the screen of their phone, listening to music. I was asking myself what music they were listening to because they unfortunately seemed to be a bit sad. Not like crying in the next moment but like there happened something. I don't know what I thought in this moment but I left my platform and went to theirs to speak to them. I literally was afraid but I went straight to them and said: "hey, what music are you listening to?" because I didn't know what to say instead. They first looked pretty confused but then answered: "'The night we met' from Lord Huron I think." So I told them straight up what I was thinking: "Oh, that song is really nice. I could listen to it all day long! Ahm, may I ask you something? What is your name?" "Well hello, nice to meet you. I'm Shane." "Oh, I do like your name, it kinda sounds like a safe place in a snowstorm but that's on my opinion. I'm Kaden. ..To be honest the moment I saw you I decided that I wanted to talk to you" "Why?" "I don't know but you seem to be really nice. Maybe.." I stutter "you want to meet again?" I ask carefully. "Ahm, I don't know. Maybe." What should I say now? Ask for their number? "I may give you my number and if you wanna meet up you could text or call me?" "If you want.." Okay, my chance. I pull out a piece of paper and a pen I luckily have in my bag. I write down my number and my name next to it so they won't forget from who they got it. I give the piece of paper to them just in the moment a train comes in and it seems to be the one they want to take. "Is this your train?" "Yeah" "Okay, then bye. Maybe until the next time." "Maybe." And they go in and the door closes.
